I woke up from my deep slumber with drool down my arm, and a sheer coat of sweat due to the humidity.
" This... This is why I don't have a boyfriend .", I mumbled.
It took me a couple of minutes to roll over onto my butt. Lift my body on aching legs. Just to fall down again.
"Ouch!",I screeched. It must have been ear shattering because Kenna actually woke from her slumber. I looked suspicious at her for a moment before she got up, turned, and what I presume was fall back asleep.
I stumbled when I got back up. Then went over to the nearest clock to check the time. I didn't believe what it said because when I glanced outside it was still daylight. Did I sleep through some type of solstice? No. . . No I know I didn't sleep through on of those. I tried to wake up Kenna but she was still passed out from the heat. I searched for her water bowl for at least fifteen minutes until I found it. I ended up in the garage. Why in the garage? She eats in the kitchen? I looked back at Kenna like I was going to get an answer. All she did was roll over. I mean I guess that was an answer. I stumbled back to the garage and located the bowls for Kenna's feeding. I walked back towards the house, and there was this faint green light. Uh , green it was probably one of my parents decorations. I went to investigate the source of light , but when I got over to the source of light it wasn't a decoration.
