Minho's POV

When I woke up, the sun shone through the windows lighting up the whole room. The side of the bed, designated for Jisung, was empty. My hand reached forward, rubbing against the pillow. It was cold, meaning he hadn't been there for at least a while. Using my arms, I rose to a sitting position and looked around the empty room aside from myself and the furniture.

After getting up and ready for the day, I started looking for Jisung. The first place I went to check was the living room. Maybe he'd be hanging out with Felix and binge-watching some series. While walking up the stairs, my body grew chills, almost like someone was watching me.

The living room was dead silent other than the muffled voices coming from the television. The sound of dripping water could be heard from the kitchen. Finally reaching the living room space, there was no one there. Stepping with care not to make a sound with each step, I made it to the kitchen, sliding behind the counter, all while not making any sound. Checking around the counter, I slowly retracted back more, only to feel a tight grasp wrap around my wrist, pulling with enough force to topple me over.

Chan's POV

After seeing Minho hide behind the counter and search the surroundings, I pulled his arm back. His first reflex was to swing a punch at whatever grabbed him. With as little strength as possible, I created a wave so his fist would collide with the floor rather than my face.

"You mind not trying to kill me right now when I'm trying to keep you hidden?" I asked while letting go of the hand that I initially grabbed.

"Seriously, Chan, don't do that. I was ready to take your head off," Minho yelled.

"Shoot, just be quiet right now, alright?" I said while covering his mouth as hurried footsteps briefly passed by us. "I don't know how they found us, but they did. We need to get the others out," I said, slowly sliding my hand off his mouth without making any sound.

Raising my head over the counter looking, I checked the living room and dining table. Good, no one was there. Slowly I reached down to grab Minho's arm. When I felt the grip was tight enough, I sped off, using the air as an extension of my body to increase my speed without being too noticeable. From the kitchen to the stairs and finally, to the garage, they were all mere seconds away when using my speed and the wind combined. Letting go of Minho's arm, I shut the door quietly, grabbing whatever junk we had lying around and placing it before the door.

"Think you can open some portals and maybe bring the others here?" I asked Minho while finally letting myself fall to exhaustion. The combination of both speeds took a toll, and slowly everything started blurring and then faded to black the last thing I heard was shouting of my name fading out.

Jeongin's POV

An endless amount of trees passed before my eyes Hyunjin was constantly running. My hands gripping tightly into his fur, he continued running through the trees. All I knew was something dangerous would happen, but before anything, Hyunjin rushed us out of the house.

*Flashback*

After hours of laying in bed together, enjoying the warmth that radiated off Hyunjin's body, he suddenly rushed out of bed, grabbing some jackets and tossing them on quickly.

"Get up. We have to hurry and meet at the rendevous spot," Hyunjin said while shoving things into a bag and putting the bag on my back.

"What's happening? If it's dangerous, shouldn't we tell the others?" I asked while struggling to follow Hyunjin as he grabbed the window sill and pushed it open.

"Hyunjin! What is going on? I can't just leave without knowing anything," I said, pulling my wrist out of his hand and looking into his eyes with desperation.

"There are people here who want to hurt us, okay? I'm sorry, but I can't tell you anything more now. We don't have the time to do this," Hyunjin said. "Now, are you gonna follow me, or must I drag you out?" He asked pleadingly and looked into my eyes, tears threatening to fall.

*End of flashback*

Slight gore ahead

I snapped out of my thoughts the moment Hyunjin came to an abrupt halt and started to stumble. We'd tumbled onto the hard forest floor, inhaling dirt and coughing violently. Shifting my eyes to the left, the horror settled in; Hyunjin was lying beside me, bleeding in human form. Trailing from his forehead down to his right leg, they were painted with deep crimson colors. I thought he must've hit his head while shielding me when we stumbled. But that doesn't explain what happened to his leg. Falling over doesn't mean you end up with a silver dagger going through your leg.

The sound of footsteps approaching caused panic to spike through my body. I quickly grabbed Hyunjin's arm, tossed it over my shoulders, and continued walking in the direction we'd been running in when he was in wolf form. Each step earned a wince or groan from Hyunjin's lips. With each step we took, following not far behind was the sound of rustling crisp leaves. Suddenly the sound came to a halt. Before I was able to do anything else, Hyunjin collapsed. Sliding down along with him, the reality settled in his skin, burning his breathing was erratic chest rising up and down at a quickening rate. Hyunjin's body shot up, only for him to have a coughing fit, each cough having its small pool of blood.

"What am I supposed to do? I don't know how to help," I said while frantically scanning over Hyunjin's bleeding body and sobbing.

"Listen to me, Jeongin. You have to run, okay?" He said while raising a hand to my cheek, caressing it ever so gently. Shaking my head, no, the tears kept flowing out without stopping.

"I'm just going to slow you down. You have to go," He continued staring intensely into my tear-filled eyes, which were blurring the image of him.

Before anything else could leave my mouth, a glistening circle appeared behind the tree to the right of us. I saw Minho crouching over Chan through the circle with a red liquid dripping into his mouth. A quick breeze flew past me, and I was launched into the circle, half expecting to hit the tree. After landing on the cold hard floor, I glanced over to the circle and saw Hyunjin shift into his wolf form, running towards the direction I heard the footsteps coming from. The loud sounds of a gun being fired and the whimpering sounds of a wolf could be heard. Stumbling over myself and rushing towards the circle, it closed before I got even more than two steps closer.

"I'd recommend you stay here than waste Hyunjin's sacrifice," Minho said with a pained wince ending his comment.
