The blond-haired boy's body very slowly waking up from a deep sleep and becoming more and more aware of the unusual conditions in which he now found himself. Although the ground in the form of a soft, one-person mattress distributed his weight in a very similar way, he couldn't ignore the feeling that something was wrong.
The first thing he noticed was the temperature in the room.
Could it be that the air conditioner has stopped working and its decidedly higher readings he feels are caused by warm air coming in through a draughty windows?
The second thing his awakening consciousness noticed was the smell reaching his still slightly dulled senses. Familiar, but in these conditions, at this hour, completely unexpected.
Could it be that the humidity and high temperature created a mixture resembling the scent of his best friend?
The corners of his mouth slightly went up, and a quiet murmur escaped from his throat as he turned on his side, an even stronger scent stimulated his body. The eyes of the short, blond-haired boy hidden behind the soft skin of his eyelids still chose not to confirm the naive assumptions made by his still sleepy mind. The non-working air conditioner and the wonderful scent luckily created to captivate and satisfy his already out of control needs, still formed the basis of his not-quite-conscious deliberations.
- Good morning... Mikey - this time a familiar voice reached his ears, making his whole body stiffen.
The confused mind tried to put together the pieces of the puzzle, which in that one brief moment broke into tiny pieces, completely shattering the previous scheme.
- Still sleeping? - he heard again, but this time he felt the warmth of his hand on his skin.
His fingertips moved, smoothing Mikey's burning cheek, and the look of dark eyes Mikey met when he decided to open his eyes, literally stopped his racing heart. This temporary arrhythmia he experienced, seemed to be just a prelude to what the presence of the boy lying next to him was capable of causing in him, to what reactions it would lead in his body, which was unprepared for such a situation.
- You're silent - he said, withdrawing his hand and slipping it under his cheek, he asked quietly - do you regret it?
Mikey's eyes widened to the limit, and his anxious heart sped up.
- Or, what I guess from your behavior... you don't remember - he said, without taking his eyes off him.
- Ken-chin... - a slightly hoarse voice came out of his clenched throat. - This is my bed. Why are you lying in my bed? - he asked, not daring to move, not daring to speak up in any other way.
Ken-chin closed his eyes for a brief moment, unable to stop the creating images, the ones that were a source of specific excitement and at the same time fear, that it was all he had left. Sighing quietly, he lifted his eyelids again meeting Mikey's gaze, but this time it was the real one, not just a flashback.
The recollection turned out to be safer. It was beyond his strength to stay in that position.
Long hair gently brushed the skin of Mikey's face as glancing away from him, Ken-chin sat down, focusing his gaze on the navy blue curtain, which fluttered slightly under the influence of the cool air coming from the working air-conditioning.
- You were the victim of an unfortunate mistake and I was forced to escort you home - he said, without looking at him.
- I don't understand. What mistake? - with the last word, he got up, leaning on his elbow, and at the same moment he felt an unpleasant pain in his frontal lobe, spreading with a cruel stabbing sensation through all the others.
