"Someone looks happy." a very familiar voice said to me. I looked in the direction to see Travis. I didn't even realize I was smiling to myself. I wiped the smirk suddenly of my face.

"Too late for that bro!" He said in a fit of laughter. " You already got caught." I just shook my head.

"No burger for me?" He asked. Is he serious? I watched him in disbelief.

"You said you didn't want anything. Now you're asking me if I didn't bring a burger for you?"

"Ummm...yeah."

" You is something else". I said shaking my head.

" No, I didn't buy any extra burger. Sorry." I said to him.

" I see." he said thoughtfully. "Was she there at B&P?" he asked out of the blue. Why did he ask that question? Is it that easy to figure out? Am I in the headlines already? I looked at him in shock and disbelief. " I got to some paper work to do that requires my immediate attention. I gotta go man. We'll chat later."

"Later." He said. I turned and head to my office right away before he could get another word in and avoid any incoming distractions.

I was holed up in my office until seven O' Clock. I packed my bag with the needed documents, laptop and charger. I got up from my chair, stretched, grabbed my bag and locked the office. I went to the parking lot and threw my things into the car. I then entered the car and started to drive in the direction of my home. I turned on the radio but even that couldn't subside my thoughts.

It's been almost a week. My thoughts are always on her. For some unknown reason, I am more anxious and edgy each passing day.

"Hi, Tom. I'd like you to do something for me." I said to him steering the driver's wheel to bend the corner before I pulled into the garage. I got out and locked the door before heading to the front door.

"Sure."

"I'd like you to gain some information on Miss Emma Stanislaus for me." I said without hesitation. After all, he is the head of my security team and the most trustworthy person I know.

"I want to know a little bit more about her but I also don't want her to know." I continued.

"No problem." he responded. I thanked him and decided to head into the house.

I have a lot of work to get done. I hate deadlines especially when I have to take over from someone within a short period of time or our client decides to have a court case in a considerably short amount of time.

In a matter of hours, Tom came back with a folder in his hand.

"I've found some interesting things sir that I think you should hear about." Tom uttered to me. I raised my head from the stack of papers that was staring at me on my office desk.

"Tell me. Please call me Travis. I prefer it that way. You're like a father to me." I said in response.

"Please." I pleaded quickly when I saw he was going to refute the statement I made. I feel really uncomfortable when he calls me sir. He's older than me. I should be the one calling him sir. He sighed in defeat.

"What is it you've found?" I asked.

"Okay sir... sorry Travis, here it goes. Can I take a seat?" he asked. I nodded my head in approval. He stepped forward moving the chair that was in front of the desk facing me and sitting on it. He then opened the folder he had in his hand and begins to tell me the facts that he has gained on her.

I sat on the chair in contemplation. I offered her a job at Briar's Enterprise! Why didn't she take it? Instead she got herself a job at Mia's Production. I kept all my staff on alert to notify whenever she came to collect the form but she never showed up. Foolish of me to think that she'll actually show up. Ugh!

I grabbed my cellphone from my desk and dialed the first number I memorized by heart.

"I need you to do something for me." I stated into the phone.

"Okay sir." The response comes from the other end.
