Draco:

I was never planning on going back to Hogwarts. When I turned my back during the war, walking away with my mother, I was never going to go back. Then we got word that Voldemort was actually dead, for good this time. My father, and my mother, and I were caught by the ministry. But when my mother and my trial came, there was Harry, defending us. If it wasn't for him I definitely would be in Azkaban. My father didn't even have a trial. They sent him straight away as soon as he was caught. So here I was walking on the train for the final time to go to Hogwarts.

I got on the train minutes before it started moving. I went to the very back and opened the compartment to find it empty. I opened the overhead cabinet and picked up my chest to put it in there. As I reached up to put it in the train started moving and I almost fell, dropping my chest on me. But one hand of whoever happened to be behind me wrapped around my waist stopping me from falling as the other pushed the chest into the cabinet. I stepped away to say thanks when I saw who it was. Potter. A deep crimson blush dusted my cheeks. I looked down and mumbled my thanks. I sat down by the window as he put his chest up too. He sat down across from me.

"I hope this seat isn't taken," he says before he smiles. That classic Potter smile. The one I fell for for long ago.

"No, it's not," I said. I looked out the window as he stretched his legs out.

"Did I ever tell you thank you," I said after a few minutes of silence. I looked at Harry to find him looking at me with a confused expression.

"What for," he said, stretching his arms above his head before leaning back into his seat.

"For saving my life from the fire. And for helping me and my mother during the trial," I said, not quite looking at him but not looking away from him either.

He considered it for a second.

"I got a brief thank you after the trial. But for saving you life," he chuckled while shaking his head, "I didn't get a thank you for that." It was silent for a moment.

"Well thank you. I mean it," I said, still blushing. He nodded.

"It's no problem," he said. I nodded then layed back to sleep for a while. Soon drifting off, hearing Harry's breath even out too.

I was deep in sleep when I heard a whine. At first I thought I was hearing it until it got louder. I opened my eyes. Still groggy from sleep I looked around, not quite remembering where I was. When I came to I saw I was in a train car. I was laying across a seat. I heard the whine again and realized it was coming from Harry. He started thrashing around.

"No, no no no no. NO NO NO," he was yelling and thrashing in his sleep.
"Dont do it, please don't," he cried out. I jumped up and knelt beside him. I gently shook him, whispering his name, but no result. He was still whining and thrashing.

"Harry, Harry please wake up. It's okay it's just a dream," I said while shaking his shoulders. He bolted up straight and looked around. When he saw me he wrapped his arms around my shoulders, tears falling from his face. I wrapped my arms around him too. One hand rubbing his back while the other was placed in his messy hair.

"Hey, hey. Shh shh it's okay. I'm here it's okay. It's okay," I comforted him while he cried in my shoulder.

After a while he pulled away. He tried wiping his tears away.

"I'm sorry about that. And about your shirt," he said, his voice cracking. I shook my head. His breathing sounded labored and forced. I wrapped my arms around him again. He leaned into me.

"Don't apologize, do you want to talk about it. The dream," I said with my arms around him. He pulled away and shook his head violently.

"No, no, no. It's all my fault. They'd all be alive if it wasn't for me. If I would have died in the forest. Or when I was a baby. I wish I was never born. Then they would all still be alive. They would all still-," he cut off in a fit of sobs. I put my hand on his shoulders.

"Hey, hey. No, what do you mean," I said, feeling tears fill my own eyes.
His breath caught in his throat.

"If it wasn't for me, everyone who was in the war. That died, would be alive still," he said, his voice barely a whisper. I shook my head, forcing the tears not to fall.

"No Harry, it's not your fault. Don't think that," I said, giving his shoulders a light squeeze. He nodded and rested his head in my shoulder.

"Can I come sleep with you. Please, I don't want the freak out again," he pleaded. I waited for a moment, then I nodded. I grabbed his hand and stood him up. I walked over to my seat and layed down. I pulled him on top of me. His head layed on my shoulder. I wrapped my arm around his and his hand went to my chest. I was afraid he'd feel how fast my heart was beating.

I closed my eyes to try to sleep, the sun still shining in on us. I sighed as his breathing evened out. When I thought he was asleep I lightly kissed his forehead. I don't know why, it just felt right.

I awoke when I heard the train car door open. I looked up and saw Granger. She had her hand over her mouth. It was dark outside. I sat up trying not to wake Harry. I layed him down in the seat. He moved a bit and whined. Then he yawned and fell back asleep. I stepped twords the door. Lightly pushing Granger out then closing the door behind us.

"What do you want Granger, why are you here," I asked still sleepy.

"I could ask you the same, why was Harry sleeping with you Malfoy," she said as if she was trying to whisper.

I sighed.

"I was trying to put my bag up on the train and almost fell. He caught me and helped. Then we both fell asleep. I woke up to him crying and yelling in his sleep. So I woke him and comforted him. Then he said he wanted to lay with me so he didn't get nightmares. So I said yes. Then you walked in after we were asleep. Now here we are," I said. I took a deep breath because I said all of that in one breath.

Granger was looking at me like I had two heads.

"You, comforted Harry. Really, I didn't know Malfoys do that," she said this like it was the most bizarre thing ever.

"Yes Granger I did. And if I don't mind I'm going to go tell Harry we're almost at Hogwarts," I said while reopening the door. I closed it behind me. Granger walked off and I sighed. Harry stirred and sat up slowly. He rubbed his eyes and looked around. His eyes met mine and he smiled. My heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest but I still smiled back.

"We're going to be at Hogwarts soon, so you should probably get yourself ready," I said lightly. He nodded and walked over to me. He wrapped his arms around and hugged me again.

"Thank you Draco," he said.

"No problem Potter," I said back.

He pulled away and started grabbing all of his things. But the only thing I could think the whole time was, 'Am I falling for Harry'.
