Harry's pov:

I wake up Draco's already gone. I feel like I upset him last night. I get dressed quickly and leave the room. I walk though our commons room. Only a few people were there. But I didn't stop to talk to any of them.

I leave the room and almost immediately have someone grab my arm. I push the person off and see it's Draco. I look into his eyes before talking. They are filled with sadness.

"Draco, about last night," I try to explain but he cuts me off.

"Please, don't, I don't want to hear it," he says quickly. " I want to tell you something, and I fear that if I don't soon then I won't ever be able to. Harry I think I love you. I didn't want to admit it, but for years now I feel like I have. And the kiss last night, it made me realize that I can't stand to not tell you. I love you Harry," he says.

I stand there speechless. I don't know what to say. If course I love him too. But what if this was just a big joke.

"Draco, I-," he cuts me off by pressing his lips into mine. He pushes me onto the wall behind me. I melt into the kiss. His lips felt so right in mine. But I slowly push him away from me.

"Draco, I have to go," I say quietly. I see as his eyes fill with tears. One slips over but he wipes it away quickly. He steps out of my way and walks away briskly.

I feel bad. Really bad. I walk to the dining hall as fast as I can. Draco was nowhere in there. I sigh and go sit down at my table. Hermione and Ron tried to talk to me and ask me what's wrong but I just wave them off and tell them that I'm fine.

Breakfast ends and Draco was nowhere to be seen. Classes pass quickly and I try to just get through the day.

When the day is done I go to my room to grab my broom and quidditch gear. My room is still empty. I change quickly and head for the quidditch field.

When I get down to the quidditch field Draco is already there.

"Well look who it is, saint Potter. Come to save the wizarding world again? Or are you just here to flaunt your glory for everyone to see," he snears. I shake my head at him and release the snitch. I mount my broom and take off. As I'm chasing it I can hear Draco yelling rude remarks from the ground. When I catch the snitch and land Draco scoffs and walks off leaving a trail of remarks in his path.

And that's how it goes for weeks. Forcing myself through the day, having Draco yell remarks at me all through the day and when night time came he acted like we didn't even know each other.

~time skip to first quidditch match~

"First quidditch match if the year! Slytherin against Griffindor! This is going to be a tight game,"  the announcer yelled out for everyone to hear. Ron was our quidditch captain and he was saying our game plan in a hushed whisper. Once he finished we all broke apart and stood in the middle of the quidditch field.

"Hey Potter, prepared to lose," I heard someone yell. I turned to see Draco. I scoffed.

"You wish Malfoy," I spit out to him. He rolled his eyes before turning back to his team. I huffed and went up to Ron.

"Mate are you sure you can play," he asked.

I looked at him bewildered. "Of course I can, what do you mean," I said while trying to keep my voice even.

"I just mean you seem a bit distracted, by a certain someone. A certain blonde," he says while glanceing over at the Slytherin team.

"I'm not distracted by him, that's absurd. He's just meggaly annoying. And is always doing this and that and," I cut myself off. I was definitely distracted.
