(Gwen's POV)
(School Hallway)

Gwen rushed through the crowded school hallways, her mind racing with guilt. I can't believe I said that to Y/N. I need to find him and apologize, she thought, her heart pounding in her chest.

She scanned the faces around her, searching desperately for you but to no avail. After a few minutes of searching, she started asking anyone she could find—students, teachers—anyone who might have seen you.

Nothing.

Most of them said the same thing: you had left the building. With her anxiety rising, she pulled out her phone and fired off a text.

Gwen: Y/N, where are you? I'm sorry, I didn't mean it.

Minutes passed with no reply. The screen remained empty, no signs of your response. She tried again.

Gwen: Please, Y/N. I'm sorry. Can we talk?

But even after half an hour, the message stayed on "delivered." The sinking feeling in her stomach worsened. Maybe he just needs time to calm down.

Deciding to give you some space, Gwen made her way home. The walk was quiet, but something didn't feel right. A sharp ringing sensation shot through her head—her Spidey Sense flaring up to an unbearable degree. She clutched her head, wincing from the sudden intensity. And then, as quickly as it came, the feeling vanished.

Gwen: What the hell was that?

The sensation had been so strong, it left her dizzy. She looked around, half-expecting danger, but the streets were quiet.

Gwen: Was that my Spidey Sense?

She mumbled aloud, catching curious glances from passing pedestrians. Maybe it was nothing... just a fluke. But deep down, she knew better. The sky... did it turn red? No, that's impossible. But... it felt like the world was about to catch fire.

She shook her head and continued walking. Little did she know, she wasn't entirely wrong.

| Two Days Later |

Gwen swung through the city in her Spider-Woman suit, her mind still preoccupied with your absence. You had been missing for two days now, and every passing hour made the knot in her stomach tighten.

Suddenly, the blaring sounds of sirens caught her attention. A convoy of cop cars sped toward the JP Morgan bank.

Gwen: Guess that's something to do...

She changed her course and landed on the roof of one of the speeding cop cars, only to hear the familiar thwip of a web shooter and feel the sudden presence of someone landing beside her.

Miles: "How's it hanging, Gwen?"

She turned to see Miles Morales, his ever-cheerful energy clashing with the heaviness she felt inside. Despite the weight in her chest, Gwen put on her best smile.

Gwen: "Eh, nothing too bad. Just a little boring, honestly."

Miles nodded, clearly missing her underlying sadness.

Miles: "Yeah, I hear that. Me and Pete have been patrolling all week, and it's been the same low-level crooks."

Gwen: "Well, maybe we'll run into one of our usual fans today." She grinned.

Miles: "I hope it's Shocker. I owe him for wrecking my suit."

Before Miles could finish his sentence, a BOOM echoed ahead, and three cop cars in front of them exploded into flames. Their car screeched to a halt, forcing Gwen and Miles to swing away just in time as a barrage of red energy blasts shot toward them.
