I've now been a student at QLD University for two weeks. I opened my laptop and went through my emails. I came across one from Australia Zoo while going through them. I opened it to read.
As I read the email, my excitement grew. I had to calm down before I could respond to them. I didn't want to come across as too eager or desperate in my response to the email, which contained an offer for my dream job. I took a few deep breaths and composed a professional and grateful response.
I wrote,
After sending the email, I dashed out of my room to see my aunt and uncle. I was giddy with delight. I couldn't wait to tell them about the job offer I had just received. It was the chance I had been looking forwards to, and I knew they would be proud of me.
"Can you guess what?" As I walk into the room, I say.
"What are you talking about?" My uncle chuckled.
"What has you so excited?" my auntie inquired.
"I got the job at Australia Zoo," I exclaim, jumping up and down. My aunt came over and hugged me tightly.
"Congratulations!" my uncle exclaimed, laughing. I couldn't believe it when I got the job at the zoo. I'd always been interested in animals, so this job was a dream come true for me. I couldn't wait to start working and learning more about the zoo's various species.
I went to sleep that night dreaming of working at the zoo.
