A glimpse into your psyche would be perceived as enlightening for some. I'm still confused over the whole experience and now we're about to go through Cynthia's mindscape. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little curious about what'll happen. Walking through the wormhole I see a bright blue sky half-covered by large sails made of cloth. Looking around it looks like we're on a massive pirate ship. The wood paneling and the giant flag of a blue rose

whipping in the wind takes me by surprise. Looking to the horizon the ocean stretches as far as the eye could see.

"This is so cool!"

"Oh yeah, it is!" Looking behind me Cynthia and our furry friend still clutching to her leg emerged from the wormhole. Running all over the deck she says, "So this is my mindscape? This is awesome! I've dreamt of being on a ship like this forever since I was a little girl."

"Why's that?" I ask inquisitively.

"I can't remember exactly. I've just always had it in the back of my mind."

"Alright, but on a different note, who's captaining this ship?" Running up to the helm Cynthia and I look at a large oaken steering wheel the size of a semi-truck tire.

"Looks like I will!" She smiles. "There seems to be a slot I can fit my Key into too!" Taking the wheel in her hands she asks, "Which direction should we set sail for my Lock?"

"Why don't you check your compass matey!" I say with an awkward wink.

"Good idea!" She says pulling out her Key and inserting it into the slot. Suddenly, the sails descended to full mast and the steering wheel turned itself to the right. Lurching forward I lose my footing.

"Ohhoo!" I fall.

"Someone doesn't have sea legs!" Cynthia laughs.

"Oh, bite me." I smile. Getting up I ask, "How long do you think it will take before we start seeing something out of the ordinary?"

"I don't know, but I'm going to enjoy this as long as I can!" She says while steering the wheel from left to right like in those old pirate movies that my dad and I used to watch.

Smiling at her excitement I ask, "What's with the flag? Why is it a blue rose?"

Thinking for a moment she responds, "Thaddeus gave me one of those when he found me. I owe him everything. He's the reason I'm not dead at the very least."

"I see," I say as I look up at the sky. "This has been on my mind for a bit, but I'd like to know. Why exactly are you going to the Gate with the first Key?"

"To defeat the Dwellers of course!" She says as she continues to steer the ship.

"Yes, but I spoke to Vinieus and he said to protect you while you delivered the first Key to them? Do you know anything about that?" I ask, now looking at Cynthia.

Her body going rigid, she looks down, "I can't answer that, but please trust me." "I do, but I just want to know what I'm getting myself into."

"Then stop prying and just trust me then!" She says as she whips her head towards me. I see a single teardrop down her face before she turns her head back towards the open water. A few minutes of awkward silence passes before we hear thunder behind the ship. Turning to look I see a large gathering of thunder clouds behind us.

"Hey! A storm is coming up behind us!"

"I heard the thunder." Cynthia says looking behind at me.

"Is there any way for this ship to speed up then!?" Looking behind us a bright blue lightning storm had begun in the dark clouds.
