( that's Aspen's outfit^^ this is my first book so please give me some feedback)

June 22/AZ/

I was sleeping in the back seat of a old car well trying to sleep that it. It's always herd to sleep with zombies eating people outside. But I have to make do. Suddenly I heard the familiar rumbling of a car pulling up.I Quickly grabbed my hand gun. I only had 6 bullets, I'll have to make a run soon.

"Hey warren look I think there's a kid in there." Man, I hate it when people call me kid. I need to think of a plan and fast. Ok I'll play dead then stab him when they come to check if I'm alive. good. good. ok I got this... Maybe.

I hear someone open the car door. don't move. don't breathe. don't make a sound. I can to this.
I think to myself. "hey! Hey kid you alive?" I hear a male voice say.Three. two. one! I quickly throw my arm up to try to stab him but I felt his hand grabbed my wrist. damn I hate people with fast reflexes!

I just looked at his blue eyes for what felt like forever. he had dirty blonde hair and was of average height. and not bad looking. I look behind him to see my grandpa! Dang I thought he died!

Don't show emotion! I tell myself. He abandoned my dad for Christ sakes! It's not like he was much of a dad anyways.

"Aspen? Aspen is it really you?" He said obviously surprised. I mean so was I but I can't let them see that. "I thought you were gone!" He ran up to me and hugged me. I'm not for hugs or any form of touching really but he was family so I reluctantly hugged him back. with not much effort might i add.

He let me go and I looked around the group not seeing anything that special. I still haven't spoken and I don't plan to. I don't trust these people.

"Hi I'm Roberta warren this is garnet, addy, mack, cassandra, murphy, and I can see you already know doc." Said I tall dark women who is quite pretty.

"I'm here two you know!" Said a obviously pissed off boy who looks only a few years older then me. still nothing special.

"Oh yea and that's ten thousand."
