C h a p t e r   6

{A date?}

Sadly, the weekend ended and we had to go back to school. The whole week was filled with us trying to hide from any bullies or people who still fully believed in the red card we were given. We managed to do well until Friday came.

Me and Gorya were walking to her locker to gather her stuff as class was finished and it was time to head home. We heard a noise from behind us, making us turn back towards the noise but then a couple boys grabbed me and Gorya covering our mouths and making us black out.

We slowly woke up in one of the empty classrooms with our hands and legs tied up.                           (This is the part where Gorya gets .... but I will be skipping that section).

We both are crying due to the both of us being scared and traumatized due to the events that occurred. However, we hear someone walk in and angrily yell at the couple of boys.

"WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING? Thyme has never prohibited this behavior here. Now LEAVE."

"B-but Thyme gave them the red card.."

"I don't care...I will handle them. Now LEAVE."

We were crying harder and the boys ended up leaving slowly, wondering why he was helping us.

We slowly saw Ren and felt much better, he was always helping us no matter what. He looked at the both of us and his eyes showed sadness but he then started smiling sadly.

"You guys are safe now. Let's try to get you guys out of here without them catching you."

He then brought out a lighter, making me and Gorya confused.

He brought the flames close to the fire sprinkler. This made every fire sprinkler go off, spraying water everywhere. Ren started smiling brightly making me smile. He got both of us up and helped us out of the school.

"Thank you for helping us."

Me and Gorya said smiling at how he was so kind to us. He nodded and smiled back.

"Do you guys want me to drop you home?"

We both shook our head, signaling no. Gorya had to leave, she had to go to the flower shop for her job, so it ended with just me and Ren walking to my house.

"You don't have to drop me off."

"Come on, you know you want me to."

He said winking, making me roll my eyes and hide my smile. We slowly walked to my home in a comfortable silence. Until Ren suddenly stops making me confused.

"What happened?"

"Do you maybe want to hang out with me for longer?"

I raised a brow but then shrugged, I didn't really have anything to do today, so I agreed.

We both ended up going to the arcade, playing multiple of the games. We played each and every game, ending with the both of us in a great mood. We ended up at a claw machine, as Ren was convinced to get me something from it. He was so focused carefully moving the lever so it would perfectly capture one of the stuffed plushies. His hair however was covering his eyes so my hand slowly crept up towards his hair, pushing it a bit out of the way, making him look at me. He slowly started smiling and I smiled back, we both leaned in before we heard a loud sound from behind us. We both jumped up and were startled, quickly turning our heads towards the sound that was made by a kid throwing a bowling ball....our moment ruined.

We played in the claw machine for a couple minutes and Ren was able to win me a plushie of kuromi, my favorite character. I smiled, looking at the toy and then at Ren, I wanted to hug him but decided not to. My attention was caught by a Photo Booth in the arcade, I immediately dragged Ren towards it and put on a cute headband and gave him a matching one before going into the little booth.

"What poses do you want to do?" I said looking towards him realizing how close we are due to the small booth.

"Hmmm I am not a big expert on photo poses Ms. Chantha" he said giving me a smug little look that I wanted to wipe away.

I decided on a couple cute poses for us to do, however on the last one I wasn't sure what to do.

"What should we do for the last...quick we only have 5 seconds left!"

I then felt Ren's lips on my cheek and widened my eyes, a pink hue gathering on my cheeks. The last photo was taken and slowly Ren moved away from me giving me a smirk.

"You owe me for that," he said winking at me and exiting the booth.

My heart was racing like crazy, while he was literally fine? I put my hands on my cheeks, feeling how hot they were and then slowly went out of the booth as well. 

I saw Ren gathering the photos and looking at them smiling to himself. I went up to him and tried to grab one of the photos but he just lifted it up in the air.

"Ren let me see!"

"I wasn't done looking at them. I still need to see how much you were blushing in the last photo."

I scoffed and starting chasing him around for it. He gave up after a while and let me see the photos. I looked at the first 3 and smiled cause they were cute, but my face was flushed pink in the last one. I looked so nervous and my cheeks were bright red, like strawberries. I was so embarrassed and ran off, away from Ren. I went out of the arcade and felt great as the breeze was hitting me. I heard the door open and close and turned around seeing Ren with a bright smile.

"Let me take you home now."

We walked to my home with a comfortable silence. I had a lot of fun and felt great hanging out with him. 

We finally reached my home and I felt a wave of sadness, I didn't want to go home yet. 

I didn't want to leave him.

I gave him a tight lipped smile as we reached my home and I turned to look at him.

"Thank you for everything today. You made my day really special," I said with a genuine smile and gratitude.

He gave me a lazy smile, "Of course, I want you to always smile and be happy. You look terrible without a smile."

I blushed and then kissed his cheek, before running back towards my home.

"We are even now!"

I rushed to my room, closing the door and jumping onto my bed.

I just went out with Renrawin Aira!
