The two drones stomped through the freezing cold exoplanet, N's thoughts filled with worry. He had been following Uzi for about an hour now, he wasn't sure where she was leading him. Uzi had thought it would be best to go far away from the tower. Not wanting to cause damage to the spire in their upcoming battle with J. N looked down at his feet, complicated wouldn't even begin to describe how he was feeling. He couldn't understand why he was feeling so conflicted about fighting J.

Was it because he felt he would lose? ... That he'd regret it if he won? N's visor flickered as that thought crossed his mind, a mixture of surprise and repulse surging through his CPU. He'd feel... regret... at the thought of killing his highly regarded leader. J, the leader that would call him a multitude of insults and hurl a bunch of annoyed glances in his direction. The leader that would treat him like a punching bag whenever he screwed up, the one that implanted a virus into him for questioning the Higher-Ups.

And yet, he still wants to spare her, despite everything she's put him through, N wanted J to have a chance to change. He knows it wouldn't happen immediately like himself and it may even take months or even years before J even decides to think about it. But, even if it is a slim chance that she could change, then N was willing to take the risk of keeping her around. Uzi stopped in front of a building, it had stood well enough amidst the ruins. N looked up at the building as he stopped behind the small Worker.

"This should be far enough, we'll stakeout in here. I'll take the bottom floors and you'll take the top, if you see J, contact me." Uzi pulled out a flashlight as she began to walk inside.

N followed suit, taking in the deteriorated inside.

"Uh... Uzi? Are you sure about this?".

"Yeah, once J is out of the way, it'll be smooth sailing. Why do you ask?".

"Tsk... Weeell... I've been thinking, maybe we could talk to J?" Uzi turned around, shining the light up at N.

"N, we've been over this, she can't be talked down.".

"Are you really sure? I was talking with V before we left and she seemed like she knew how to get J to settle down." Uzi sighed, lowering the torch.

"Why do you want to keep her around? She has treated you like scrap metal!" He looked away for a moment.

"... I know... But if V and I can change, then why can't she? V seems to be fine with this, even if she's usually dismissive about most things, so, I'm sure we could work something out with J." Uzi looked away.

If Uzi was being honest, she admired N's optimistic outlook, trying to find some good in such an awful person is commendable... to a small degree. If anything, a part of her does want to talk things out, her plan isn't foolproof, one wrong slip-up and everything would fall apart. Yet, Uzi knew that was just wishful thinking coming from N. J wouldn't be swayed as easily as him or simply wouldn't care like V, she is way too engrossed by JCJenson. When Uzi looked back at N, he gave a worried look. Unsure whether it was for her or what was bound to come, Uzi turned back around, shaking her head with an equally concerned expression.

"Come on, N. Let's scope out the place." Uzi went on ahead, looking into each room she went by.

N followed behind, taking an interest in each human corpse the pair passed. Once the two reached the end of the hallway, they were met with a large open space. The entrance of two smaller rooms faced them, with another hallway off to the side. Human skeletons littered the assembling area, all frozen in place in the middle of whatever they were doing. The two tried their best to carefully navigate through the sea of human remains, not wanting to knock over any of the skeletons. Finally, N reached the hallway, a set of stairs at the end of it.
