A month after the attack ,some of the king's advisors went to see him ,their faces has serious look on it. He could feel the tension in the air as they spoke.
"We have discussed this matter thoroughly, Your Highness," one of the advisors said, "and we believe that it is time for you to find a new mate."
The King leaned back in his throne, his eyes scanning over each of his advisors. He could smell the faint scent of nervousness emanating from them.
"I have no interest in finding a new mate at this time," he said firmly, his voice echoing throughout the room.
"But Your Highness," another advisor spoke up, "you know that it is important for the stability and
continuity of the Kingdom. we need a Luna a Queen who rules with you And you need an heir to carry on your legacy."
The King sighed, knowing that they were right. He could taste the bitterness in his mouth as he thought about the prospect of finding a new mate. It was not something he looked forward to.
"I will consider your advice," he said finally, dismissing the advisors with a wave of his hand.
As the advisors left the room. He walk near the window and look to the east side of the palace, where his beloved wife buried.
It has been 5 years since she died and the memory of her still in his heart. he knew now that the kingdom is facing difficulty he need to decide what best for his people.
And having a Queen that was a must for them, A king without a Queen is nothing, he needs a luna that well guide him and stay by his side in time like this.
The King sighed heavily, his thoughts consumed by the weight of his responsibilities as a ruler. He knew that he needed to choose a new queen, but the thought of moving on from his beloved wife seemed like an impossible task.
He walked over to her portrait on the wall and placed his hand on it, feeling the weight of his grief. But he knew that he couldn't let his personal feelings stand in the way of his duty to his kingdom.
A sadness reflect in his face as he gazed at the portrait of his beloved wife. He missed her every day, but he knew that he couldn't let his emotions cloud his judgement. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, willing himself to be strong for his people."I promise you, my love, that I will do what is best for our kingdom," he whispered to the portrait. "I will find a queen who will honor your memory and help me lead our people to a better future."
With a heavy heart, he turned away from the portrait and walked back to his throne .
He leaned back in his chair, taking a deep breath and inhaling the aroma of the burning candles on his desk. The scent of vanilla and sandalwood mixed together in the air, calming his nerves and allowing him to focus his thoughts.
As he thought, he absentmindedly ran his fingers over the smooth surface of his desk, feeling the cool wood under his fingertips. He knew that he had to make a decision soon, but the pressure was overwhelming.
Suddenly, he heard a faint tapping sound on the window. He turned his head and saw a small bird perched on the windowsill, chirping softly. He couldn't help but smile at the sight, feeling a sense of peace wash over him.
