Chapter 31: DreamXD wins the pole

XD's pov:

Me and Y/n walked in silence, her expression was covered by her mask. But I could tell that she was clearly upset. "ℂ𝕒𝕟 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕡𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕖 𝕥𝕒𝕝𝕜 𝕥𝕠 𝕞𝕖?" I asked as I teleported in front of her, gently holding her shoulders. She stopped moving, staring into nothing. She just stood like that for a second before slumping to the ground. I quickly got down on my knees, she was cold and her expressions were blank.

"Do you know why suffering exists XD?"

The question caught me off guard. "𝕐- 𝕕𝕚𝕕 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕙𝕦𝕣𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦? ℙ𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕖 𝕥𝕒𝕝𝕜 𝕥𝕠 𝕞𝕖, 𝕀 𝕛𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕨𝕒𝕟𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕙𝕖𝕝𝕡." I said, looking into her black mask. She sighed and looked into my mask and stood up. "Yes XD, someone did more than hurt me, they broke my life." She mumbled as she continued walking. "I don't want to talk about-" I hugged her from behind. "ℙ𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕖 𝕥𝕖𝕝𝕝 𝕞𝕖 𝕐/𝕟. 𝕀 𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕤𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕀 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕣𝕦𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕗𝕦𝕔𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕝𝕚𝕗𝕖," I assured her, but her mood only dampened, I watched as a singular tear went down her face. I burned with rage, she was obviously hurting but she wouldn't tell me, why wouldn't she tell me? I took her hand and teleported us to my room. "XD- what?"

"𝕋𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕚𝕤 𝕒 𝕤𝕒𝕗𝕖 𝕡𝕝𝕒𝕔𝕖 𝕐/𝕟, 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕤𝕖𝕔𝕣𝕖𝕥𝕤 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕤𝕒𝕗𝕖 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕞𝕖.." I promised as I kissed her. She seemed to have some comfort in it, but didn't kiss back. She pulled away and walked to the window. It was late at night and the kingdom was glowing. It was a city in the clouds, mainly known as the afterlife for those who have passed on. I mainly ruled  it but Kristen, the goddess of death, kept charge of the actual individuals.

She looked like an angel, looking upon the glowing city. If only she would just let me stay with her forever..

"When I was 7, I was taken away from my brother due to a deal that my father made for more land."

I looked up and she leaned against the wall, dazzled by the view. "This man abused me, beat me, raped me, I was in constant service to him. He took my pureness and shredded it to pieces, he raped me even when I was a child" I could tell she was silently crying, my heart hurt so much. I am the cure to her suffering, I can take her away from there and she can be with me forever. "As far as I know, he's still alive, but he fled the country for unknown reasons after I escaped. Sappy soon found me and I joined the Dream team," She sighed and slipped off her mask, she flipped it around to look at it, the sad, depressing face staring back at her.

"I am constantly living in fear knowing that he is still out there," She turned to face me, a sad smile on her face, her e/c giving that powerful look. "But I have always wanted to help people, no matter the cruelness that they bring into the world." She scratched the back of her neck, giving a grin on her tear soaked face. I was speechless, she really wanted to stay there? "I teleported to her and engulfed her in a hug. "𝔾𝕠𝕕 𝕪𝕠𝕦'𝕣𝕖 𝕥𝕠𝕠 𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕕 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕.." I mumbled as I kissed her neck, she giggled "I'll take that as a good thing,"

I teleported back to her room and I took her hands. "𝕐/𝕟, 𝕀 𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕤𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕀 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕪 𝕓𝕪 𝕪𝕠𝕦'𝕣𝕖 𝕤𝕚𝕕𝕖 𝕥𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕕𝕖𝕒𝕥𝕙 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕓𝕖𝕪𝕠𝕟𝕕," I kissed her hand and she smiled, "Alright, I'll be holding you to it-"

I whirled around to see Dream sitting in a chair across the room, looking pissed as fuck. "Y/n, you really removed your mask for this guy?" He spat as he stood up and looked at her beautiful face, she jumped and reached for her sword but it wasn't there. "Dream, I'm sorry but I'm in love with XD. Whether you like it or not it's just how it is." She declared, racking through her brain on what to do. His face grimaced, as he looked at her face longingly.

"You're really taking the fake copycat dumbass version of me over the smarter, more skilled me?!" He yelled, now glaring at her. "𝔻𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕞, 𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕙𝕖𝕣 𝕓𝕖" I stood in front of her, a demonic grin on my face. "𝔼𝕒𝕥 𝕚𝕥 𝕕𝕦𝕞𝕓𝕒𝕤𝕤, 𝕤𝕙𝕖'𝕤 𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕖. 𝔸𝕟𝕕 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕛𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕨𝕒𝕪, 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕙𝕖𝕣 𝕤𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕀 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕝𝕖𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕓𝕦𝕥 𝕀 𝕞𝕒𝕪 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖 𝕞𝕪 𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕕 𝕤𝕠𝕠𝕟," I glared at him. He made the calculations that if he was going to fight the battle, he would need more gear and WAY more people. "This isn't over, Y/n will be mine," He said as he dashed out the window. 

That's one problem out of the way, I'll kill him later. Now it's time for Soot to know, I know he is also in love with her so he needs to be dealt with. "𝕀𝕥'𝕤 𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕖, 𝕘𝕖𝕥 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝕤𝕝𝕖𝕖𝕡 𝕝𝕠𝕧𝕖" I motioned to her bed, "𝕀 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕀 𝕟𝕖𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕠 𝕕𝕠.." I mumbled the last part, she didn't seem to hear because she was already asleep. I smiled as I looked upon my prize, my cure to everything. I tied her mask back to her face, I was the only one who deserved her, she was mine, mine forever-

Death

The one thing I can't save her from. My soul ran cold thinking of her lifeless body in my arms, this world could kill her. Kristen would never let me see her, the city I ruled only had the spirits of those who passed, but their faces would stay unknown. No, I couldn't think like that, as long as I was here, she would be fine.

I silently crept down the hallway into the planning room where Wilbur was sitting, a map of the whole SMP on the table. He looked up as I entered the room and he looked annoyed at my presence. "𝕀 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝕚𝕟 𝕡𝕖𝕒𝕔𝕖, 𝕓𝕦𝕥 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕒 𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘," I said as I held my hands in the air, signaling peace from what Y/n taught me. He still glared at me but motioned for me to sit down. "What's this so-called warning?" He asked, eyeing me up and down. I gave him a kind smile, "𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕪 𝕒𝕨𝕒𝕪 𝕗𝕣𝕠𝕞 𝕐/𝕟 𝕠𝕣 𝕀 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕣𝕚𝕡 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕕 𝕠𝕗𝕗 𝕠𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕤𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕𝕖𝕣𝕤," I spat, giving him a look. He was unwavered, looking at me like I was a fly that just shit on his sandwich. "Good luck with that, Y/n will never forgive you, in fact, she will despise you from the bottom of her heart." He grinned at me, as much as I hated to admit it, he wasn't wrong. She would hate me if I killed either of them, taking her away is something time can heal, but if I murdered them both she would never look at me the same.

"She can date you for now, I still need to rack up the courage to ask her out." He continued, running his hand through his hair. "But trust me, the second I decide to do it, she's mine," He finished, glaring at me. I clenched my fists, these two were going to be a big problem if they kept going after her. Maybe I should just take her away from here myself. She doesn't belong here, but I know that it is inevitable that she is going to die. Even if she doesn't die from other people, she will grow old and die. But in my world, nothing grows old, nothing dies, time just stops. Maybe that would be best for her. I teleported back into her room and watched her sleep, she was so peaceful and happy.

Maybe she will hate me

But I have to keep those freaks away from her.

She belongs to me now
