Cassie was ready before the sun rose, her hair pulled back in a messy bun and her robes neat, she snuck out to the astronomy tower. She watched the sun rise over the grounds, the rare orange glow tickling her face like butterfly kisses.
"I saw you last night," A voice said from behind her, Cassie turned to see Remus, in his hand he held a napkin with some biscuits.
"Breakfast started," He explained, sitting down beside her, he passed her a biscuit.
"I don't know why it bothers me." She said as she took a bite of the biscuit.
"You ever think that maybe you might fancy him too?" He said, looking out at the grounds. She hesitated before answering.
       "I don't know how I feel,"
"You'll figure it out, now come on, let's go finish breakfast." He stood up, walking towards the great hall. The two sat down with everyone together, joining in as if nothing happened. James glanced at the two with a bitter look that Sirius caught.
“You good there, Prongsy?” He smirked, James shot him a look before shoving a piece of bacon in his mouth.
“Hey, Cassie, we're gonna go dress shopping tomorrow for the Yule Ball, do you wanna come?” Lily asked.
“Yeah, I don’t really know what type of dress to get though.” Cassie smiled.
“Do you have a date yet?” Marlene asked, Cassie shook her head.
“Really? I would have thought you already had one, I mean who wouldn’t ask you.” Sirius grinned.
         “Thanks Black.”
“Nice of you to say, Padfoot.” James muttered.
“Oh, I promised I would get to transfiguration early, to show professor McGonagal something.” Cassie hurriedly got up, waving quickly. “Bye everyone,”
“Bye Cunningham,” Sirius winked, he could feel James’ eyes on him.
“Whats the matter prongs?” He asked innocently.
             “Y- nothing.” James said bitterly.
“Are you upset that I complimented Cunningham?” Sirius laughed.
“No, of course not.” James scoffed.
“Are you sure you’re not jealous?” Remus raised an eyebrow.
“Me? Jealous? Why would I be jealous? I fancy Evans, and that won’t change.” James said angrily, standing up and walking out of the great hall.

“What about this dress?” Alice asked, holding up quartz pink dress, a small flower placed on the waistline.
“I like that one,” Cassie smiled, browsing through the dresses. She looked over to see a mannequin by the window wearing a black dress. It was strapless with a sweetheart neckline, tulle cascaded from the waist to the floor. Cassie walked over to the service counter, and gently rung the bell. A lady with messy gray hair and dull green eyes walked to the counter.
“Do you have the black dress in the window in a size 18?” Cassie asked.
“I do believe so,” The lady smiled, walking to a back room behind the counter.
"Here you go dear," the lady smiled handing her the dress.
"Thank you," Cassie smiled, quickly going to try it on. Once the dress was on she looked at herself in the mirror.
"Oh my gosh," She whispered, feeling tears start to burn. She quickly wiped away a tear that fell and stepped out to show the others. Marlene gasped once she saw her.
"You look beautiful!" Alice squealed. Lily nodded in agreement.
"He won't be able to keep his eyes off you," Lily added.
               "Who?"
"You know who." Marlene raised her eyebrows.
                "I do?"
                "Potter, duh." Alice laughed.
"Oh, Potter and I are just friends." Cassie said, walking back into the changing room. She walked back out in her normal clothes and delicately placed the dress on the counter.
"I'd like this one, please." Cassie smiled.
"50 Gaellons." The lady smiled. Cassie handed her the gaellons, and took the dress in the bag the lady provided. While Cassie was sitting down to wait for the others, Marelene pulled the two aside.
“We need to make them realize they have feelings for each other.” She whispered.
                “Agreed, but how?” Lily asked.
“Maybe we could get Remus, and Sirius to help us?” Alice shrugged.
“We’ll have to find a way to separate James and Cassie from us tonight.” Lily nodded.
