Neteyams pov -

I woke up extra early so I could be ready and make sure my siblings were up in time. I knew if I didn't, my parents wouldn't be thrilled.

Eventually, everyone was awake. Mother was getting the first day of school photos of us. Lo'ak was not happy because he had to wake up early. Tuk wasn't happy because Mother put her in an outfit she did not like. And Kiri was sad because she had already missed our old home. I couldn't blame her, I did too.

Eventually, it came time to wait for the bus. Tuk got driven to school by our father because she didn't wanna ride the bus, and regardless, nobody wanted her to. Mother and father were scared she would be bullied, so they made sure she wouldn't be.

Mean while, me and my other siblings were standing out in the rain. Of course, on the first day, it had to rain. And of course, I was wearing my favorite sunflower sweater.

I wanted to look presentable even though I knew I wouldn't be dressing up for the rest of the year.

As we waited, we heard a bunch of yelling come from the house next to us. We looked over to see a girl and boy. The boy looked to be my age while the girl looked to be Kiri's age.

Meanwhile, while they were fighting, Lo'ak seemed entranced by the girl, I however was mesmerized by the guy.

My whole family knows I like guys, practically everyone at my old school did too. I figure here it wouldn't be any different. I was on the baseball team, so hopefully, I wouldn't be too bullied. Lo'Ak was on basketball as well, so he should have all the girls going after him.

Eventually, our new neighbors made their way to the bus stop and stood next to us. The girl spoke up. "Hi!" She said a little to joyfully for a Monday morning. "You guys must be our new neighbors."

"Yeah, we are." My brother states as he is still mesmerized by the girl in front of him.

"That was quite the first impression.." I heard Kiri giggle as she joined the conversation.

"I'm so sorry about that!" The girl adds. "Me and my brother were having a rough morning. And by that, I mean he didn't wanna get up." He nudged her arm.

"So.. what are your names?" Kiri questioned.

"I'm Tsireya, and this is my brother Aonung." She smiles. "What about you guys?"

"I'm Kiri, and these are my brothers, Lo'ak and Neteyam." She said.

"It's nice to meet you all." She states. She nudged her brother in the arm.

"Yeah, it's nice to meet you guys.." He mumbled. I looked on their shirts. He looks to be the captain of the swimming team while Tsireya looks like the captain of the cheer team. Cool.

As the conversation came to an end, another guy from across the street showed up. "Hey, what's up, Aonung!" He says, fist bumping Aonung.

"This is our friend Roxto. Roxto, these are our new neighbors." Tsireya chirps.

Just as she said that, the bus pulled up. The bus was pretty full, so there were not many places to sit.

Aonung sat with Roxto and the swim team. Tsireya sat with her cheer buddies. Kiri and my brother sat together. So all that was left was me. I just sat in the seat next to my siblings.

I looked out the window. I was kind of scared. I didn't know what to expect. This was a new place and nobody here really knows me. I left all of my friends behind, so let's hope these new neighbors of ours become my friends or I'm screwed.
