~ captain ~

The spark that was lit that night was now just very dim. But it would grow over time. It would grow and grow into someday a flame. Y/n nor Techno knew what that spark was. Just yet. They didn't even know that spark started, or what started it. But of course you're about to learn what started that spark. First for y/n. It wasn't the way that Techno said those last words so seriously. It was the way he emphasized the wouldnt. Did he actually mean it? And for the prince. Well or course he meant it. But what started that spark in him was something entirely different. The way y/n's face dropped after he said wouldnt. Her face was pure hatred and sorrow but after Technos words, it quickly changed.

After the argument y/n didn't bother to go and try to fall asleep. It would be no use. The girl was too fired up to even be able to close her eyes. Once the prince walked off she stayed in the beach looking out at the water. Eventually she sat down and just kept staring at the ocean, occasionally skipping pebbles into the water. It was fun to her to watch the pebbles bounce and bounce in the water till there wasn't anymore moment to keep going. So they sank. And that's how y/n felt in that moment, she felt like sinking.

But for Techno. He stormed off to his tent to try to catch some sleep. Which he did. As soon as the princes head hit his pillow, he was out like a light. But soon enough the sun came up to wake the two up. After a bit y/n had fallen asleep in the cold sand. They both woke up early, at the first sight of dawn.

The sun was bright in the girls eyes. She brought a hand up to block the light. Glancing around she realized where she was.

"Of course," she mumbled staggering up, "I fell asleep out here. Fucking hell." Y/n wiped the sand off her clothes and walked over to the camp. Hopefully finding something else to change into.

The camp wasn't very lively. Only a few people were up. But luckily for y/n those people included are in and not Technoblade.

"You look like a mess!" Rein giggled as y/n trudged up to her, a small grin appeared over her face at Reins words.

"I thought it'd be nice to sleep in the sand," y/n said the biggest hint of sarcasm in her voice.

"Seriously?"

"No!" she laughed at Reins shocked face. Then Rein finally got it and took started laughing. She slapped the back of y/n's head which just made the two laugh even more.

"Ok- ok let's get you clothes," Rein giggled taking y/n into the tent.

And soon enough y/n was in something new. It was nothing like her other outfit but it did feel nice to have some clothes that weren't filled with sand grains.

"Looking good princess," Rein laughed as y/n came to show her the outfit.

"Thank you your majesty " y/n mocked and curtsied.

"Shall we head out princess?" she asked sticking an arm out ti her friend.

"Of course majesty," the girl laughed locking her arm with Reins.

The two walked out of the tent arms interlocked, grinning wide. Finally y/n was having fun. But that wouldn't last for long.

A bell rang throughout camp and y/n looked questionably at Rein who just lead her to the middle of the camp. Where there once was a fire now was a small table and troops sat in the gourd or stood up. Rein let go of y/n and took her place by the table. She looked at the prince who was already there. Soon the both of them looked behind them to see someone walk up. Y/n was expecting a tall, strong sailor. But who she saw was someone completely different.

The woman wore a pirate hat yet had the uniform on if a sailor. The purple and yellow representing the kingdom. Small badges lined her uniform. Those badges indicating she was of high power, possibly a captain. But that's not even where it ended. She had a stern look on her face which only showed because her hair was pushed out of the way. It was like someone took a cotton ball and stuck it on her head. It was poofy, curly, and stuck out. But it was also as white as the clouds that hovered in the sky. And that's not where it ends either. Two tan horns stuck out from her hat showing she was a hybrid. She cleared her throat and y/n was back focused on the meeting and not the woman's appearance.

"As you all should know, I'm Captain Puffy." So she was a captain. "There are about a dozen Phomid Kingdom ships anchored on the horizon. They haven't showed any signs of danger but we need to be careful. By what my sailors have seen they don't seem to be loaded with much cannons. So if they were to attack we should be good but I want everyone alert we don't know what they're capable of. With that saying you troops are dismissed while I talk to the these two," the woman, now known as Captain Puffy, finished.

She glanced around as the troops started to shuffle out so the three could talk. But before y/n could turn and walk the other way the captains eyes locked on her which ultimately made the girl froze. Puffy whispered something to Techno, eyes still locked in y/n. Then he said something to Puffy and soon enough the captain was marching on over to y/n, who was still frozen in her spot.

"You, come, now," her voice was much more intimidating up close. But y/n just nodded and followed her up to the table where Techno and Rein were still leaning over. As she approached with Puffy, Rein smiled at her and Technoblade just glanced away which earned an eye roll form y/n.

"Y/n right?" the girl just nodded as the captain continued. "Never seen you round, prince here tell me you're the person who supposedly poisoned Tommy right?" That earned a glare from y/n to Techno but she just nodded.

Puffy watched as y/n shot the glare at the Prince she chuckled at that and glanced over at Rein who was also giggling.

"Something tell me you two don't like each other?"

Oh but the captain was so wrong. And she knew it.

"No it's just-" y/n stopped. Why was she defending him? I mean he practically ruined her life. But maybe it was that little spark that started. "It's just we don't really know each other," she finished.

"Then get to know each other, you'll most likely know each other for a while," y/n looked up at the captain. What did she mean? "Do me a favor, while you're both here try not to cut out each others throats, can't have a bickering crew now can we?"

And that was that. Puffy just walked away a small smirk on her lips. Rein also left shortly after, leaving the two. But y/n wasn't going to give up that easily. She just looked at Technoblade. She turned on her heel and walked away.

"Y/n, I'm sorry," he called out to her. She just shot a glare over her shoulder.

But the spark grew.
