The triplets quickly delivered the letter. Obviously since they could teleport. Calypso went back to y/n's room to find her fast asleep. Which didn't shock the enderman since it was already past midnight. So she just left and y/n was alone in her dreams. Which for once weren't nightmares of bad memories. For once they were good. Who knew a scarred girl could have a good dream. It was the first one since her mother had died. All her dream before the ball were nightmares of her mothers death over and over. After the ball they changed a little. Mainly to her being locked up in jail and eventually suffocating. But occasionally her mother came back into her dreams.
Tonight though y/n wasn't having one of those dreams. She was having a good dream. But that dream will be told later. And crazily enough y/n seemed to be the only one that could catch sleep in the castle that night. First the royals. Technoblade was up talking to Phil and Kristin. Wilbur was pacing in his room, glancing out the window every minute or so as if Phomid troops would just appear on the balcony outside. Tommy just laid awake, worried for his family and if Phomid Kingdom was actually going to attack. But a part of him knew he was safe since Techno was there.
Other people laid awake too. Tubbo was in the room next to Tommy. He knew his best friend was awake. Who could fall asleep with this upcoming war in their minds? No one. Across the hall Ranboo was also awake but not worrying about the royals, the war, or his friends. Well you could say he was worrying about his friends, if that's what y/n was to him. He knew that the girl was troubled about practically everything. Ranboo could tell by the way Techno rushed to tell the twins to go to her. Something was wrong all around the castle but no one was brave enough to speak up.

The sun beamed through y/n's kaleidoscope door. Making small, early morning rainbows on the floor. And one on her face. She squinted awake and glanced around her room. Rainbows lined the floor and some walls from her door. She squirmed out of her bed and walked into the bathroom. Freaking up her hair she chose an outfit out of the closet. It wasn't too casual for a castle but not to grand. Plus it was comfortable.
As y/n walked through the halls not knowing where to go she thought back to her morning. Then a thought hit her. She didn't wake up ima cold sweat of panting. Did she have a good dream? Tracing through her thoughts the girl tried to find the dream but only small snipers came to her. Maybe she'd think of it later?
Out of thought she looked around the halls to try to figure out where her feet had lead her. Y/n did a full three-sixty before she stopped and her eyes locked on the doors. Specifically the Ball Room doors. Without thinking she opened the wooden doors and peered in.
"Woah," y/n whispered, taking in the room when it wasn't crowded with people. Two staircases on each side of the room. One leading to a balcony that looked over part of the room and the royal garden. The other looking over the room and the thrones.
She walked farther into the room the doors silently shitting behind her. Y/n walked over to the staircase she hadn't gone up yet. Her hand hit the railing and she walked up feeling the smooth wood under her touch. At the top she looked left and saw the balcony that looked over the thrones. To the right was a balcony looking over the Ball Room but at the end was a slightly smaller spiral staircase. Y/n looked over the balcony and glanced up seeing yet another balcony. The one the spiral staircase lead to. But up there were seats and instruments for the orchestra. In the middle sat a small jukebox. Walking to the right y/n arrived at the balcony that k we looked where the royals sat, the thrones. They looked even more beautiful then what she remembered. The sunlight form the stained glass window behind them shone down making the gold, silver, and jewels sparkle.
Across the room was the balcony that over looked the garden. And a hallway that lead to who knows where. The hallway and balcony that ruined y/n's life. She walked back down the stairs and walked over to a wall, sliding down it to sit. It was peaceful and beautiful and everything the girl wanted in her life. Just as she was about to close her eyes the small creak of the door made her eyes shoot open.
