An Explanation
Tony took my arm and lead me down to Loki's holding cell. "Listen to me very carefully, Y/N. If anything happens, you yell as loud as you can for me, okay?" Tony said worried about me. I entered the room where Loki was. There was a glass cell that he was in. "Hello love." I hear. I walk straight with my arms out Infront of me. I reach the containment. "Are you blind or something?" Loki says. I smile, "Actually, thanks to you, I am." I say feeling my way around the cell.
"Can you tell me what happened. Thor told me that when I grabbed your staff, I consumed all of its power. " "Is that so? The thing is, if that was the case, you would be dead. No human can hold a gods power with out..." Loki paused. "Without what? Tell me." Loki sighed, "A human can not hold a gods power without them being a god themself, or a demigod." I was confused. Was Loki telling me that I was a god of some sort?
"So, I'm a god?" I asked. "Love, I don't know." He came up to the glass and I could feel the heat from him. I placed my hand on the glass. "I want to try something." I say. "Place your hand on mine." "Really? Is this a trick or something?" Loki said cautiously. "No, I want to be able to see again." He places his hand on mine through the glass. I can feel it. I close my eyes and take a deep breathe.
I give him some of his power back, but nothing major that he could escape with. He gasps and pulls his hand away. "The power coming off of you is crazy." He says stepping away. I take my hand down from the glass and open my eyes. I can see. I look at my hands, then at him. "I can see."
"The power was too much for you, it caused you to go blind." Loki says holding his hand. "Y-Your eyes." I look up at him, then go to the mirror on the wall. My eyes were white but looked blue when I turned certain ways. My hair was a white and blonde color.
Loki and I met with each other almost everyday for months. We became close, and soon, I hope we could get closer.
"Tony." I said, yelling for him as I walked up the stairs. "Yes, Honey Bee?" I walked into his office. "I wanted to talk to you about something." I say, shutting the door, then taking a seat on the other side of the desk. He put down his pen and looked up at me. "What is it Y/N." I took a deep breath. "I was wondering, if, we could, possibly..." "Go on." "I was wondering if we could let out Loki, I have been talking with him and we have become very good friends, I don't think he is a danger, he doesn't even have powers. But if you think it is a bad Idea, I understand."
Tony looked at me and didn't say a word. "Sorry, it was stupid, I shouldn't have even brought it up." I say and stand up. Tony stands up and says, "If this is really what you want, I will leave it up to a vote, and he is going to have to prove himself to us." I look at Tony and smile.
I leave the room and go back down to Loki. "He said that he will give you a chance, but you will have to prove yourself to them. And, with due time, and patience, I will give you your powers back, but you have to be good from here on out." He smiled and came up to the glass. No one knows what we talk about when we are down here and I am glad. Some of the things I have talked about with Loki, I have never told another person.
That same night, we had a meeting if Loki should get released from his holding cell. "We are going to take a vote. Should Loki be released from his holding cell, raise your hand for yes." That moment I didn't know weather to raise my hand or keep it down. No one raised their hand and my hope was lost. "Y/N, do you want to try and change their minds?" Tony said to me. I looked at him and stood up.
"Listen, I know that he has done some very bad things. But, I have been talking to him and he has made some very good progress. He has no power, and if we need to have eyes on him at all times, then that is what we need to do. Everyone deserves a chance at a good life and a chance to be good. I think that when he gets that chance, he will take it."
Everyone stayed silent and just stared at me. "Please, someone say something." I pleaded with them. Steve chimed in, "Listen, Y/N. I know that you have been talking to him, but how are we going to know if he isn't just faking wanting to be good?" "That's the thing, we are going to make him prove it to us before letting him out completely." I said joyfully. "Y/N, he hurt you on the mission. That's why he is there in the first place, what if he does it again?" Peter said, worried. "I know. And I am willing to take that risk. We have been talking and I trust him." I sighed. "He deserves a chance."
"Lets do the vote again. If you think that Loki should be released and have to prove that is isn't going to do anything bad, raise your hand." Tony said. Everyone raised their hand after hearing me plead for his freedom. I smiled and hugged Tony. "Thank you for giving him a chance." I say while hugging him. He brushed his hand over my hair, "You are welcome Honey Bee."
Proving Himself
After Loki was let out of his holding cell, we had eyes on him at all times. Everyone would take turns watching him. When it was my turn, Tony would stay with me because he was scared of him hurting me again.
One afternoon, it was mine and Tony's turn to keep eyes on him. There was a loud noise coming from the top of the Stark tower. We all looked up and wondered what could be making that noise. We all ran to the stairs and went to the roof. There was a man, he was wearing all black and his skin was red. He had no nose and started to walk towards us. Loki looked at me, "I need it now!" I looked up at Loki and grabbed his arm. I gave him back all of his powers so that he could protect us from this guy.
Loki gasped, and took in all of his power. Not having that power made me dizzy, I leaned against Tony and he brought me to the door to the stairs. Tony took me down the stairs while Loki went to fight this man. "No, he is going to get killed." I said weakly. "He will be fine, Y/N" Tony said opening the door and helping me down the stairs.
Tony placed me on the couch and made sure that I was okay. He tried to walk away but I grabbed his hand and tried to get him to let me help Loki. "Please, let me help." I say to him as he walks away.
The room started spinning while I was sitting on the couch. Tony then turned back to me, "Honey Bee, are you okay?" His voice sounded faded.
I woke up about an hour later with Tony, Loki, and Pepper standing above me. I looked at them confused. "What happened?" I asked trying to adjust my eyes. I tried to get up but I was weak. "It's okay darling, stay still. " Loki says to me. I lay my head back down and Pepper starts to check my vitals. "please, just tell me what happened." I say closing my eyes. "Well, when you gave Loki his powers back, you got very weak. We don't know if it was because his powers were keeping you strong, or it took a lot out of you to give it back." Tony said to me, getting my hair out of my face. Pepper got done taking my vitals and said, "Okay sweetie, all of your vitals are normal. If it has something to with the power and it keeping you strong, my guess is that you have to get that power back, or you will be weak for a very long time. "Pepper said, putting away her medical tools. Loki and I looked at each other. Loki held out his hand to me, "Go on, take it." "I don't want to take your powers again." Loki leaned down to me so that we are face to face. "Listen darling, if my power is what you need in order to stay strong, then you can take it." Loki says to me, placing his hand on my forehead. I start to take his power and while he had no reaction to it, I started to get stronger.
