"Macaque! You in here?"

Mk walked around aimlessly in the familiar dojo. It had been a couple of weeks since the LBD attack and things were slowly getting back to normal. The city was rebuilding itself, Mk and Mei fought lesser demons and were overall getting accustomed to their new life.

Thought there was still some changes, like how Macaque started hanging out with Mk and training him. They didn't do it often, however Mk still looked forward to it. That's probably why he was so worried when he couldn't find him. Mk pouted as he scratched his head.

"Where could he have gone?" He asked himself.

He took a deep breath and used his gold vision. He looked around and found him in the other room sitting down on a mat. He grinned and rushed over to him.

"This is where you've been! I've been looking all over for you!" He said.

Mk was caught off guard when he saw Macaque meditating intensely. He stared in awe as he poked his face to get his attention, with no avail. He groaned and shook his shoulders to "wake him up". He was extremely frustrated and was ready to leave him right there. His eyebrows raised as took his staff from his ear. He reeled it back and slammed it on his head as hard as he could. It was a harsh method, but Macaque was immortal so he should've been fine.

Macaque seemingly woke up, except something was different. His eyes were glowing purple as he ascended off the ground. The moment was short lived as he came back down. He lifted his head and made eye contact with Mk.

Mk smiled and tried to talk with him, but his eyes moved to the red staff in his hand. Macaque took a step back and pulled out his own staff. Mk was taken a back by the gesture, cocking a brow at his odd behaviour.

"Hey you ok?" He asked.

Macaque slapped his hand away and growled.

"Why do you have Wukong's staff?" He asked.

Mk blinked, trying to process what he just said.

"Umm... Macaque how hard did I hit your head?"

His eyes widened as he went in a fighting position.

"How do you know my name?!" He yelled.

"Woah there! Calm down, what's going on with you?"

Macaque ignored him and went for a strike, in which Mk blocked him.

"How dare you use his weapon!" He shouted.

Mk blocked another hit and exited the dojo. He was trying to catch his breath, though Macaque didn't let him. He came outside and summoned clones of himself that emerged from the shadows. Mk gulped as he turned into a bird and flew as fast as he could. He screamed in horror as clones of Macaque started chasing him.

His fatigue got the better of him as he landed on solid ground. He just so happen to land right in front of Flower Fruit Mountains water fall. He catched his breath and entered it to receive some sort of shelter. His loud entrance grabbed the attention of a certain orange monkey.

"Kid? What're you doing here? I thought you were training with Macaque." Wukong said, taking a bite of a peach chip.

"Thank the Gods you're here Monkey King! Something happened to Macaque and I have no idea what to do!" He agonized.

"Woah there bud you gotta slow down. What's going on-" the cave rumbled.

Wukong ran over to Mk to protect him. A figure entered passed the waterfall. His fur was a bit wet, his cold eyes clashed with Wukong's. His eyes softened as he saw who was in front of him.
