The Store

"This van draws too much attention. We should move quietly."

Ji Yeonhee's POV

"I can do it," I encouraged myself as I eye the store in front of me. I've been standing out here for almost half an hour now, and I think I'm about to freeze to death."It's no big deal, it won't be hard to buy. Ji Yeonhee, you can do it!"

Rubbing my sweat from my forehead, I take a deep breath as I enter. The entrance bell sounded, signalling that I have entered. Before I know it, I'm at the counter, where this blank faces man is standing. I gave him the packet.

That's when I noticed this drunk guy stumbling around everywhere, like some sort of mental zombie. He starts to approach the counter. Where I was.

"Can you please hurry?" I quickly said. The guy at the counter stared at me blankly, and took no notice, as he continued trying to scan the packet. I feel myself turning red.

Suddenly the sound of shelves caught my attention, follower by a "Darn it!". Oh god, that drunk guy is coming closer!

I turn back to see the counter guy staring at the drunk man. "Please hurry." I say urgently. He blankly goes back to scanning the packet. The scanner doesn't like me. It's nor working. The counter guy blows on it, trying to get it to work.

"Overnight sanitary pads with wings. That's 6,500 won. Should I put it in a black plastic bag?"

Finally the counter guy is done! "Quickly please." I say hurriedly. A slamming noise comes from behind me, oh my god, it's that drunk guy! Still staggering around like a zombie freak.

"If you buy two, you get one free." The counter guy blankly says.

"No thanks." I'm close to dying, I think.

"It's on sale. Why don't you buy another.."

"It's my last day!"

.....Oh crap, what in the world did I just say? I grab the bag and run out of the store, away from the store.

"My face is burning, I hope he gets replaced, he's a total slowpoke!" I slow down as I turn the corner.
