bruce gets waken up by the smell of freshly cooked bacon, his mom hasn't really cooked in awhile due to how mixed her shifts are so he was pretty excited to be having breakfast for the first time in at least 3 weeks. he gets up from his bed fixing it slightly before heading over to the bathroom. he turns on the water and washes his face and brushes his teeth, looking at himself wondering about random stuff like why a tomato is considered a fruit, or how cute cats, are stupid stuff like that.
bruce finish's up and walks out of the bathroom and then slowly walks down the stairs, hearing faint talking. he sits at the kitchen island waiting for his mom and sister to notice him, meanwhile they were cooking together. "hey mom, whatcha cooking?" he speaks up, his mom and sister look back.
"oh hey bruce! there's eggs, bacon, and about to be pancakes!" his mom responds not looking at him but cooking. "should be ready in 10 or so minutes." she continued this time turning around fully.
"nice." bruce gives a simple respond. he wasn't really that hungry, he might just only have 2 pieces of bacon and maybe a small amount of eggs. "what's today? can't remember if it's saturday or sunday."
amy slowly turns to him "it's saturday, dummy. you seriously don't remember school yesterday?" she says rolling her eyes, bruce let's out a small chuckle before remembering the fact that he has a project due monday and needs to get it done considering the fact he hasn't started. "hey mom do you think it's fine if i go over to finneys to get a project done?" his mom thinks for a little before responding "sure just don't stay too late. make sure to fix your hair too'' she lets out a quiet breathy chuckle.
bruce heads upstairs to his bedroom where he texts finney

bruce gets off his bed then scrambled through his drawers for something comfortable to wear while working, not anything too nice or formal since after all it's just gonna be them two.
once he finally finds something to wear he gets dressed then goes into the bathroom once again to fix his hair and do whatever else he needs to do like applying lotion, putting on cleanser, or his cologne.
he says goodbye to his mom and sister before leaving his house and hopping on his bike. it takes him at least 14 minutes to get to finneys which isn't too long but it's still a good length of time. he stops his bike at finneys house then walks it up the the side of the porch and locks it to the fence. he goes up to finneys door and knocks loud but politely then hears rattling.
the door opens and bruce sees exactly why he expected, finney. literally not shocking at all, his mind was trying to trick bruce into thinking he accidentally knocked at the wrong door or something terrible was gonna happen. regarding that finney pulle bruce into the house since bruce was just standing there, zoned out, bruce snaps back as soon as he feels finneys hand grasp around his forearm. finney says jesus while sighing still grasped onto bruce's arm walking to his room. bruce pulls the papers for the project which was fairly simple so they could get it done in a day if they focus enough.

"oh my god" finney stretch's back, "i dont think i've done that much work since.. like... last year."
"ugh same" bruce responds, "omg i shoukd see if robin wants to come over" finney jumps up to grab his phone and immediately calls robin to see if he could come over. "so robins coming overr. but he says he's bringing this new guy? i literally couldn't hear what he said over how much he was giggling it was weird like i've neve-"
"omg so robin is coming over, right?" bruce cuts off finney. finney nods his head slowly. "okay good, that's all you had to say" bruce rolls his eyes in a joking way. finney and bruce sit in silence sitting on their phones for around 5 minutes before there's a knock on the door.
