warning - F slur only like once tho—
finney practicality teleports to his front door frantically trying to get it open. as soon as he gets it open bruce hears loud talking immediately. interested, he goes to finneys front door
bruce sees robin, finney, and some other kid? he was tallish had perfect blonde curls, with what seemed to be blue grey eyes. hold up - did he just say perfect? bruce liked girls. he wasn't a fairy. but this blondie had the most perfect features. perfect nose, perfect eyes, perfect everything.
bruce immediately goes to the group and says hello to robin. bruce waits for robin to introduce him and finney to this stranger. "sooo this is vance, he moved here a week or two ago and he's still waiting to be registered for school. he's very fun though!" robin says with a big smile, like a very genuine smile not even finney has seen such a fat smile from robin, and if robin likes vance that much he knows it's good.
finney shows vance around his house meanwhile robin and bruce stay in the back, "you like vance?" robin said lightly. "what? i just met him! that would be ridiculous" bruce said defensively, "i'm not gonna go ahead and assume already but i saw how you were staring at him, you make it so obvious!" robin chuckles at the last part, "oh. my. GOSH! i do not like him, i don't even know his last name or anything about his personality!" bruce said whilst gaining a red tint covering his cheeks. robin walked ahead going into finns room, looked behind himself and then shrugged. bruce scoffed and turned even more red.
bruce caught up entering the room seeing the three boys. he sits down at finneys desk since the bed and finneys beanie bag was taken up. "why is it so quiet?" vance says flat sorta, everyone shrugs. finney groans and lays back on his bed, "do you guys wanna go to a diner or something? i don't wanna be stuck up in this house all day." everyone agrees with the idea.
finney thought for a moment about what diner to go to and he finally chose one, "AppleJack Diner, yes or no?" "omg i've been meaning to try that place we have to go" bruce says with a grin.
vance noticed how bruce has dimples, cute dimples. EW what was vance thinking, he blinked hard trying to get back into focus of what the conversation was going on about; diners, something about bruce, how faraway such diner, then vance's name. "huh?" vance said, "we're you seriously not paying attention the whole time." robin said firm, vance just shook his head 'no'. "oh my god, we were talking about what diner to go to and how far away it was. and also how you were zoned out." robin rolled his eyes. vance just shrugged.
tim skip to when they get to da diner
— 3rd person???????????"alright, here we are. AppleJack Diner." finney says. Bruce loved the way it smelt, it smelt like apple pie, fall, just overall everything he liked. the 4 boys walked in ready to eat. A nice looking lady came to their service, she was sorta short, medium length brown hair, she was pretty too. she walked then to their table and asked if they wanted any drinks then left to give them time to think of what they would want to eat.
bruce looked down at the menu, nothing really caught his eye or seemed that good so he didn't order anything. vance wanted the chocolate chip pancakes, it was the first thing he saw and that's what he's getting. finney wasn't too sure what to get but he ended up getting a country chicken sandwich it was fairly big and he was pretty hungry. robin took awhile to decide, not knowing if he wanted breakfast, lunch, or dinner. he ended up getting a steak.
the boys patiently waited for their food, well besides bruce all he got was a water and vanilla milkshake with sprinkles. "bruce why didn't you order anything?" finney said raising a hairy hairy brown brow (i'm sorry i can't take anything serious), "just wasn't really hungry i guess" bruce shrugs. "you can have a part of my sandwich later if you get hungry at the house or when you go home, okay?" finney replied, bruce nodded silently. bruce was kinda placed weird, the booths were a little small and he had to sit next to vance and he was nervous, like REALLY nervous. they were shoulder to shoulder so bruce scooted a little more to the wall just to give vance a little more room not like vance would notice or anything but you know.
