He was sitting in a mandap. His mind was somewhere else. A voice was echoed in his ears.
"Kopal meri baat maan ja beta"
"Bol na kopal manega na meri baat"
"Som aur batuk ko jarurat hai uski"
"Kopal tu VIVAH karega na BONDITA se"
"Meri aakhiri ichchh...

"Yaad hai Som, vivah se pahle aap mujhe roz phone karte the ye jaanne ke liye ki wahaa kya ho rahaa" asked Bondita. He nodded. She smile and continue. "To jab aapka aapke dada se jhagda ho jata tha na to aapki aawaz aisi hi ho jaati thi ekdum dheemi, ab ye nahi puchhungi ki wajah kya thi ya kis baat par jhagda hua kyuki ye aap dono bhaiyon ke bich ki baat hai bas itna kahungi ki wo aapke dada hai wo bade hai aapse aur bado ki baato ko dil se nahi lagaate hai aap mafi mang lijiye unse hmm.... mangenge na? She said. He smile on her and promised her.
"Ji baudi main mangunga maafi, ab main chalta hoon" said Som and went from there.
After sometime...
Anirudh was sitting in the mandap for Basi Biye Rasam. Bondita came with koyeli and sat beside him. Anirudh looked toward her secretly and got lost in her as she looks very beautiful in her newly married look. Deep inside he feels very happy to see her hairline filled with sindoor of his name. His thought break when they heard Batuks cry who is in koyeli's arm. She try to feed him milk.
"Koyeli kya hua ye Batuk itna kyu ro rahaa hai?" Asked Trilochan kaka.
"Dekhiye na bade malik kab se koshish kar rahi hoon par batuk baba roye hi jaa rahe hai dudh bhi nahi pi rahe hai" said koyeli.
"Koyeli didi aap mujhe dijiye main koshish karti hoon" said Bondita and koyeli went to her and give him to her. Bondita was about to stand up but a village woman stopped her.
"Arey chhoti Malkin ye kya kar rahi hai aap ek baar mandap me bethne ke baad bina rasmo ke uthte nahi hai apsagun hota hai" said village woman.
"Haan bahu tum bethi raho" said Trilochan kaka.
"Ji.... koyeli didi aap ye dudh ki pyaali (bowl) mujhe de dijiye aur thoda sa shahad (honey) le aaiye" said Bondita. Koyeli gives her that bowl and went to kitchen for honey and came give it to her. Bondita took half spoon of honey and mixed it in milk then she touched her finger in honey bowl and put her finger on Batuk's lips. He lick the honey and she feed him milk and he started drinking the milk. Anirudh and others amazed to see her method to feed him and how easily she feed him. After feeding him, she patted him lightly and he went into deep slumber. She handed him to koyeli. They begin the rasam.
"Chhote malik ab maang bhar dijiye chhoti Malkin ki" said a lady.
A married lady came behind Bondita and covered back side of her head with a red chunari. Anirudh again filled her maang with sindoor. That lady put the chunari on her head.
"Ab hum kodi khela ki rasam karenge" said the woman. She put the kodi in the vessel filled with milk and rose petals.
"Jo bhi is kodi ko pahle nikalega usi ki marzi chalegi jiwan bhar.. chaliye ab shuru kijiye" that woman said and they both put there hand in the vessel and start the game. After a few minutes of playing Anirudh won the game.
"Ab jiwan bhar chhote malik ki hi marzi chalegi chhoti malkin par, ab to aap pichhe - pichhe chalengi chhote malik ke jiwan bhar" the village women teased them and laughed. And after some more rasam they completed all the rituals. They stand up from the mandap and went to took the blessing from the elders as priest said them. They first went to Trilochan kaka and took his blessing. He blessed them wholeheartedly. Then they went to Binoy and took his blessing he also blessed them wholeheartedly and went from there as phone rang. After they took blessing of All the elders Bondita went to Bihari and Koyeli and bend to touched there feet but step back.
"Chhoti Malkin ye aap kya kar rahi hai?" Koyeli asked hasitatedly.
"Aap dono ka aashirwaad le rahi hoon" Bondita said with a small smile.
"Hum to naukar hai.. aap hamaare paer chhukar hume paap ka bhagidar mat banaaiye" Bihari said.
"Isme paap wali kon si baat hai.. bado ka aashirwaad lena paap nahi hai aur naahi chhoto ko aashirwaad dena paap hai.. aur kisne kaha ki aap dono naukar hain... aap dono to hamare pariwar ka hissa hai (to kyeli) aap meri didi aur (to bihari) aap mere kaka hai... aap dono is ghar ko, is pariwar ko apna maante hai na?" They nodded she continue "to jab aap dono is ghar ko apna maante hai to hum aap dono ko apna kyu nahi maan sakte? Aap dono is ghar ke is pariwar ke sukh - dukh me saath rahte hai... humaari khushi me khush hote hai aur hamaare dukh me dukhi ye to sirf apna hi kar sakta hai na? Ab aashirwaad de bhi dijiye na waise meri maa kahti hai aashirwaad na rosogullo jaise hote hai jitna mile utna le lena chahiye" she said all laughed at her last sentence. Bihari and koyeli look toward Trilochan kaka hasitately. He blinked his eyes in assurement and gestured them to give her blessing with a bright smile. They blessed her with a teary eyes and with a smile. Bondita stood up and Binoy came toward Trilochan kaka happily.
"Daa ek bahut hi achchhi khabar hai... wo deal yaad hai aapko jiske liye main 2 hafto se koshish kar rahaa tha wo deal aaj final ho gayi hai wo deal mujhe mil gayi hai wo log hamaare saath kaam karne ke liye tyaar ho gaye hai" Binoy said happily.
"Arey wah ye to bahut hi achchhi khabar hai" Trilochan said happily. All the villager were also become happy for there bade Malik.
"Chhoti Malkin ke paer bahut hi shubh hai" one woman said.
"Sahi keh rahi ho behan inke aate hi ghar me khushiyaan aa gayi" said other woman. All the RC Family smile brightly listening there talks.
"Koyeli khadi kya ho jaao jaake kuchh mitha lekar aao sabka muh mitha karwana hai" said Trilochan kaka.
" Kaka sasurji main le aau sabke liye?" Asked Bondita.
"Par bahu tum kaise tum kal hi to aayi ho nav vadhu ho abhi se kaise" said Trilochan kaka.
"To kya hua kaka sasurji main yahaa baithne thodi na aayi hoon please kaka sasurji" said Bondita. Kaka agreed. She went with koyeli and after sometime they come with kheer give it to everyone. Bondita give kheer to RC's. She went to som who was little far from them.
"Maafi maangi aapne apne dada se" she asked to him. He shooked his head in no. "To jaayiye.. dekhiye abhi sab bahut khush hai wo maaf kar denge aapko" she said.
"Maangunga... par ek shart par" Som said.
"Kaisi shart?" She asked.
"Shart ye ki tum mujhe aap karke nahi bulaaogi main chhota hoon tumse.. tum mujhe apna beta maanti ho na" she nodded " to tum mujhe aap karke nahi tum karke bulaaogi" He said.
"To ye shart hai... thik hai jaisa tum kaho... maine maani tumhari shart ab tum meri baat maano aur jaao" She said. He smile brightly and nodded and went to Anirudh.
