"Butterflies, butterties, butterlies-" Meiko was laying in the soft green grass in their home's backyard, patiently waiting for the letter of her results from U.A. to arrive. The week of wait wasn't that nerve racking for her because deep down inside, she knew that she would pass. She had to. There was no other way.
"Great now I'm starting to forget words."

"Meiko- MEIKO! THE LETTER FROM U.A. ARRIVED!!" Meiko shot up quickly from her place in the grass the moment she heard her mom shout those golden words. She stood frozen in her place. "MEIKO ARE YOU COMING OR WHAT?" She snapped back to reality and ran through the house's backdoor.
Meiko found her parents sitting on a couch in the living room. Makoto was holding a letter, a huge grin plastered on her face.
Indeed, it was a letter from U.A., for it had its seal.

Meiko slowly took the envelope from her mom's hands and shakily sat down next to her.
Just because she was sure that she passed didn't mean that she wasn't extremely excited.

She steadily peeled off the seal, her parents watching her slow movements anxiously.
Out came a black circle thing. It played a video. A video of All Might.
"It's All Might!"

As All Might started talking, he stated the girl's immense bravery and her amazing technique.
"Now, I would like to congratulate you, young Hayashida Meiko, for scoring first place in the practical exam!" He laughed mightily.

All three of the anxious watcher's eyes widened in shock.
"I SCORED FIRST PLACE!?!!?"
She sure did.
A scoreboard popped up on the screen indeed showing her name as number one. 48 Villian points and 30 rescue points. A total of 78 points.
She noticed the person in second place.
Bakugo Katsuki. 77 Villian points and 0 rescue points.
Pft. What a shame.

"Must be sad losing to someone by one point just because you were selfish." Meiko smirked. Smirked. Smirked. Smirked. Smirked. Smirked. Smirked. Smirked. Smirked. Smirked.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, Meiko. You need to stay humble at all costs, you understand?" Meiko wiped the smirk from her face and nodded at her dad.

"WELCOME TO U.A. HIGH SCHOOL HAYASHIDA MEIKO!" All Might added before the video stopped playing.
The family hugged one another, they had never felt more prouder of their little girl.

It was now April, the day that classes in U.A. would start. Meiko was in her brand new U.A. uniform, on her way to the train station, fairly early in the morning.
She did not want to be late on the first day of school. Also there were more seat choices if you were early.

Meiko boarded the train and found a seat in the back. She placed her headset and listened to music while calming her nerves.
Yes, she we really nervous. After all, it was her first day in the No.1 ranked high school for heroics.
The place that would make her dreams come true.

Meiko was hoping that Izuku would board the train so she'd have someone to talk to, to help calm her rapidly beating heat.
But to her dismay, the train took off before he showed up. Maybe he was late. Or maybe he was early.

She sat staring out the window into the distance, watching the buildings passing in a blur, and thinking about her possible future.

Soon enough, the train had stopped and Meiko got up from her seat.
She stopped at the exit of the train, placed her hands on her hips proudly, and wore a huge grin on her face.
"I can do this!" Meiko said confidently to herself.

"Ahem..." A cough was heard from behind her.
She turned around and saw 5 or so people waiting for her to stop blocking the exit.
"AH! I'm so sorry-" She blushed in embarrassment and quickly moved away.
