Alexis' POV:

We finally got to James' apartment after the party. I was still crying because of what Amelia had done. I was also scared that James would leave me for her. I mean have you looked at her, she is so much prettier than I am, she has more money than I could ever have. Suddenly my thoughts were disrupted by chatter.

"James. Why did we have to leave the party so early?" Sirius asks. "Because something happened to Alexis." James replied still worried about me, how cute. "Wait, what? What happened?" Remus asked with concern. "Well it's a long story." James said. "We want to know what happened." Sirius impatiently said. I get up and walk over to them. "I'll tell you." I say. So I start explaining what happened and who Amelia was, and Remus immediately gave me a hug after that.

"But why would she want to kill your parents?" Sirius asked still confused. "I honestly don't even know my self." I say. "If I'm being honest, she had pretty hard life. I mean like she was always in the shadow of me." I add. James and Sirius looked up at me confused. "While I was at school, I was popular. Back when Amelia was my friend she was always seen as Alexis' friend or they would think I befriended her out of pity. So one day she took a liking to a guy and I obviously noticed but the thing is I liked him too. She told me she was gonna ask him out, I supported her no matter my feelings. But thay day she was gonna ask him out he rejected her in front of the whole school which caused her to be embarrassed. Then he came up to me and asked me out. I hesitated because the thing was he rejected and embarrassed the person who was my friend, but I said yes, because like I said I liked him. And she got mad, like really mad. She started ignoring me, and she started a false rumor, which no one believed. No one believed he because they knew I was a popular student, and she was only a shadow, they thought she was jealous, which she was, and that's why she started a stupid rumor. The rumor spread until the teachers heard about and got her expelled because at Ilvermorny we don't tolerate rumors being spread. That's what I mean. She had a tough life, but that doesn't justify what she did to me." I explain upon seeing their confused faces. "Oh, that's sad. But you dated someone before me?" James said. "I mean yea, but we broke up after 1 month or 2." I said. "Why?" Sirius asked clearly interested in getting to know me more. "Well, as soon as I said accepted his offer of going out with him, he was overjoyed and we started dating, but like he started to change." I pause letting them take in that information. "What do you mean by 'change'?" Remus asked. "Well, he started getting more distant, and started looking at other girls ass. One day I caught him looking, at first I thought it was nothing, but the second time I caught him looking had me worried. I tried to reassure myself that he would never cheat on me. But boy was I wrong. I tried to ignore my brother's warnings, I was happy. But my world came crashing down as soon as I saw him with in a heated makout session with this pretty blonde girl. I walked up to him and yelled at him with tears streaming down my face..." I start to cry a little while telling them everything. "You don't have to tell us everything." James said while hugging me. "No, I want you guys to know." I say wiping my tears. "Okay, go on." Sirius says calmly. "I slapped him and ahat he said next broke me completely. He told me that he only dated me for popularity, and that I was worth nothing but a piece of garbage... that broke me completely. I couldn't eat properly and didn't sleep at all. That was until Leo noticed that I didn't eat nor sleep, he felt bad which made me feel bad. He couldn't do anything but just be there. I wasn't myself for months, that was until, someone told me that he got expelled for some reason, nobody knew why he was expelled. I started to eat little by little, and started to sleep at reasonable time. I thought that nobody would love me anymore, but that was before I met you guys." I finished. "Oh wow. That guy seems horrible." Sirius says. "I am sorry you had to go through that." Remus says. "But you know what he said to you means nothing right? You are worth so much, you know that. Don't listen to those words." James says lovingly. "I love you." He says, and that made me freeze. He thought the worst. "I understand if you don't-" James tries to finish, but got cut off by my lips on his. "I love you too." I say back after a few seconds.
