"VERY WELL! WE ARE READY FOR OUR NEXT BOUT!" Argus called over the arena, causing Humanity's laughter to finally cease. "OUR NEXT CHAMPIONS ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR IMMENSE ABILITIES AND AUGMENTATIONS TO THEIR OWN FORMS. BUT WHICH OF THEM CAN PROVE THEIR EXPERIMENTATION IS SUPERIOR?"
Humanity's door slid open as Argus announced ""FOR HUMANITY, WE HAVE THE DEMON CYBORG, GENOS!" Genos paced into the pit, his eyes scanning around for vantage points to be used in the coming fight. He then looked towards the other door opposite him.
"AND FOR HEAVEN" Argus boomed, as the door slid open. "WE HAVE THE OUTWORLD SORCERER, SHANG TSUNG!".
Tsung walked slowly into the arena, eyeing the audience intently. He then spotted Genos, and smiled. "Cybernetic limbs? I've dealt with that before" he chuckled. Genos's eyes narrowed.
"You haven't dealt with anything like me, sorcerer" the cyborg scowled, before entering a battle stance.
"ARE THE CHAMPIONS READY?" Argus asked, looking at the two.
"Bring it on!" Genos yelled.
"Let us end this frivolous event" Tsung sighed.
"THEN LET THE MATCH... BEGIN!" Argus shouted. Genos began the fight, using his shoulder thrusters to charge the sorcerer, catching him by the neck and slamming him into the side of the arena. Tsung grimaced in pain, and flexed his hand. A giant, fiery snake burst forth from the ground, shocking the young cyborg.
"What the-?!" he shouted, as Tsung grinned, and commanded the snake towards Genos.
"Rip him apart" he ordered. The construct shot at Genos, biting his arm, and lifting him off the ground. It swung the cyborg around like a toy for a few seconds, before tossing him across the arena. Genos landed on his feet, and aimed his arms at the fire.
"Incinerate".
Flames, much hotter than Tsung's construct, burst forth from Genos's arms, engulfing both puppet and master. Tsung protected himself with his magic, but the snake was destroyed by the attack. Scowling, he decided to personally deal with this annoyance.
"Very well, boy. You wish to fight? Let us see what you can offer" he called, before leaping into the air on a fire pillar. Genos kept his eyes on the sorcerer as he aimed his hands at the cyborg. Suddenly, long, purple tendrils shot at Genos, catching him off guard. He only just managed to dodge the attack, but lost track of Tsung.
"Pay more attention in future" a voice whispered in his ear, before the teen felt a hand on his neck, and an odd, draining feeling came over him. He slowly turned to see Tsung, with an odd green aura surrounding him.
"You can keep up with me..." Tsung laughed, before his form began to change, morphing into an identical copy of Genos. "But can you keep up with yourself?"
"What is this?!" the real Genos shouted, charging the doppelganger and aiming a punch at his face. The second Genos grabbed the punch out of the air, smiling, before ripping the boy's arm off entirely. Undeterred, Genos spun round, kicking his duplicate in the stomach, before elbowing him in the head with his remaining arm.But these attacks were incosequential, as the fake Genos still stood there, watching the cyborg trying to take him down.
"This is a waste of my time" he sighed, before shoving his arm int the real Genos's chest, grabbing his power core, and ripping it out with ease. He held it aloft, then crushed it in his hand.
Genos stopped dead, having been about to attack his fake twin again. His eyes grew wide, before the yellow pupils suddenly went out. The Demon Cyborg keeled over, and crashed to the ground, lifeless.
The fake Genos glowed green again, becoming obscure for a moment. Then, Shang Tsung stepped forward, holding his hand high.
"FATALITY!" he shouted at the crowd, who all cheered to finally see a death in this tournament. Tsung's smile grew wider, satisfied with his victory, but then...
"AGH-!"
Tsung suddenly flew across the arena, reaching terminal velocity... and slammed into the wall, his body splattering into blood and bones.
Everyone stared at this event, then turned back to where Genos's body lay. A third man had landed in the arena, killed Tsung, and turned to Genos, looking panicke."Genos?! Genos?! Are you alright?!" the man asked, picking up the cyborg. When he didn't respond, Saitama turned, and jumped up into the announcer's platform. Argus held up his hands, showing he meant no harm.
"You're gonna send us home. Now!" Saitama yelled. Zeus, having seen what happened to Tsung, didn't hesitate.
"Of course! Right through here!" he said, holding his hand out, causing a red portal to appear. Satiama looked down at Genos.
"Don't worry, man. I'll get you back tot he professor. He'll fix you up" he promised, before dashing into the portal, disappearing from view. Zeus quickly closed the opening, and let out a breath of relief.
"Well, that was... alarming" Argus said slowly. "BUT IT MATTERS NOT! THE VICTORY IS STILL CLAIMED BY SHANG TSUNG!"
Heaven's side of the stand cheered, while Humanity looked nervous. The pile of flesh that had been Shang Tsung still bled greatly, looking rather disgusting.
