I was given three choices of dresses to wear. And not just any dresses , these dresses were floor length gowns adorned in gems and crystals, lined with fine golden lace. I picked up the one on the furthest left. It was purple, with gold lace around the neckline, sleeves and waist. It had a v neck, poofy sleeves and a gorgeous ball gown skirt. It was the finest piece of clothing I'd ever put on my body.

A faint tap echoed on my door. I stood, the extravagant gown clutched in my hand. "Yes?" My voice was faint, weak.

"Excuse me my lady do you need help getting into your gown?"

"Oh no I'm fine thank you it's kind of you to offer though." I actually sounded confident which was a first.

"I'm so sorry my lady but I was instructed to help you by the queen so that is what I must do." Came the maids reply.

{1hr later}

The dress was a struggle to get on, and now it's like a rattle snake squeezing out all my organs. My breath is ragged, coming out in short bursts. Deep breaths, in and out.

"Is that all my lady?" The kind maid asked.

"Yea I mean yes thank you." I was still getting the hang of this royal thing, I mean it was nice and all but it felt so, wrong.

Once the maid had left I was all alone to think. My life had changed all because of 1 event, if I'd know how to control my ability I wouldn't have used it. But then there's no point dwelling in the past. Another knock, this time harder, more assured. "Hello?" I called.

The door creaked open slowly. It was the prince. "I came to check on you." He said. His amber eyes glowed with apology. He ran a hand through his dusty blond hair as he came to sit beside me. "I'm sorry for earlier, I just thought-" He said. But I cut him off before he could finish, "Well you thought wrong, we barely know each other"

"We're going to have to, your my betrothed
Maeve." Was his reply, it was true but still, we'd only known each other what a day!

I couldn't exactly run off to my room so instead I decided to ask what our plans for today were so o could run off and get a head start. AKA get away from Zion. He gave me a list with times next to each item.
-7:00 breakfast in the side dining room
-8:00 class with Mr Bloom
-10:00 class with Miss Latt
-1:00 lunch in the dining hall
-2:00 free time
-3:00 training with Mr Moon
-5:00 free time
-6:00 dinner in the dining hall

"It will start tomorrow, I asked to give it to you so we could talk and I was hoping that in your free time maybe we could catch up." Zion said.

I was honestly surprised at how gentle he sounded, Kings were controlling, commanding, everything my biological parents wanted me to hate. I wasn't sure what to say so I just shrugged my shoulders and headed to the bathroom. I could see the disappointment on Zion's eyes and a small smile found it's way to my face. I raised my head and straightened my posture, might as well  look like a princess if I was going to be one.

My morning started with breakfast in the side dining room. I was expecting a small nook in the kitchen but I was confronted with a grand dining room fit for at least 16 people. Grand dishes lined the middle of the table. Plates of bacon, sausages, eggs, everything you could imagine for breakfast. I couldn't stop my jaw from gaping open; I had obviously seen grand rich breakfasts but nothing compared to this. I couldn't help myself from digging in straight away.

Next was my lesson with Mr Bloom:

He stood tall in the hallway, a giant like man. His face was stern and disgust was splatted neatly on his face. "Quickly Miss Wood we don't have all day" He ordered. I rolled my eyes as I strutted into the classroom, I couldn't wait for my lesson.
