"Are you sure you didn't see a small little boy walk out of the gate?" I asked the security guard in charge. But he was too busy watching touchdowns happen on the small telly, he had that was next to an empty box of donuts.
"TOUCHDOWN!!" He and Harry exclaimed raising their arms up in sync.
I eyed and scowled at Harry who quickly shut his lips so that it formed into a thin line. It feels like I am handling two kids, not one.
"Um, excuse me, mister?"
He looked absolutely pissed that I disturbed him from this glorious game. For a moment I thought why would they even hold a football game during December? Weird.
"Look, Missy. I haven't seen this boy of yours within the last 24 hours. You should have kept a better eye on your child." He scolded.
I let out a sarcastic laugh. "My child? Do I look like a mom?"
He shrugged his shoulders as he picked up a bag of potato chips. "With your generation, you'll never know."
I felt someone annoyingly poking my shoulder.
"What now, Harry?!"
To my surprise, he had a very innocent look on his face. His lips quivered as he hesitated to say something.
"What is it?!" I demanded.
"You think I'd make a good dad?" He asked as streaks of red tinted his cheeks.
I felt my cheeks burning as well not knowing how to answer him. "I-- I don't know! I don't know anything about you so how should I know?"
He charmingly smirked at me as he leaned on the wall. I knew what he was doing; he was trying to test my patience.
The security guard then cleared his throat loud enough to get our attention.
"Look, sorry but my shift is ending soon. I hope you find your kid." He said as he started to clean up his quarters.
"Wow, he was no help at all." Harry whispered in my ear. And for the first time, we both agreed in something.
The man stepped out of his guarding booth and started to lock the door.
"This is hopeless." I disappointingly mumbled.
I felt Harry's big hand comfortably being placed on my back. "Keep the faith, you know? Let's just go back the room and figure something out."
"Fine."
We started to make our way back to to our room. For a moment, as our arms swayed, we'd accidentally touch each others' and it would send that static feeling. Surprisingly, I can't get enough.
"Hey!" A voice called from afar.
We turned around and saw that the man who hollered was the security guard.
"What now.." I mumbled.
The man then shouted back, "You two aren't good parents, but sure do make a good couple!"
"W-what?" I stuttered as I failed to stop my face from burning red.
And I was pretty sure that mister popstar right beside me was color changing as well.
----------------------------
We went back to Oliver's room and tried to look for clues.
Harry was crouching down on the floor , trying to look under the bed. I felt a bit mischievous and wanted to get payback for not paying attention at me earlier.
