My fingers were aimlessly fumbling on Harry's dog tag that hung around my neck as I arrived on the same spot I started on, for the fifth time. I may have memorized every stall and store in this mall enough to be called a concierge. It was only two days left before Christmas and now is the only time I have found to actually do some Christmas shopping. And clearly, I am having a tough time.

"Violet, please my legs are starting to hurt!"

I rolled my eyes at the dramatic little boy that decided to tag along even if I have warned him a hundred times that this trip to the mall would not be fun.

I grabbed his hand and gently dragged him until he was walking beside me once again. "I told you Oli, you should have stayed with Harry and the boys."

He huffed. "Don't you miss me?"

And the worst thing he could do is put on a puppy dog face with eyes looking like they are about to fall off with tears. One word to describe Oliver is irresistible. No wonder Harry wants to keep him, he is just too adorable and too clever to let go!

I pinched his delectable cheeks. "Of course I do! And yeah, you've been hanging out with Harry too much. You are become to dramatic as well. We have at least stopped to sit down at some benches at least ten times now, Oli! You cannot be that tired." I laughed as I ruffled his curly hair.

His little red backpack that he had on most of the time started to slip from his shoulders. I managed to snag it before it fell. "Woah there! Wow, this ways a ton. Let me carry it for you --" I started to say as I was beginning to grab his bag from him but in one quick motion he pulled it back to him, not letting a finger of mine to touch it.

"No it's okay I got it Vivi!" Oliver casually said as he stifled a laugh while slinging it back on his shoulders. And as if nothing happened, he evaded my skeptical gaze and began window shopping as we continued walking.

What's more mysterious than Harry? It's definitely Oliver. This little boy's presence right now is still a big mystery to me. Also, his lack of home sickness for a kid is bewildering. But, maybe, just like Harry, he is different from everyone.

Whatever I was thinking was interrupted by Oliver's voice. "Aren't we done though? I mean you already have a ton of shopping bags there. Geez, you're just like my mom."

I decided to turn that statement that was meant to be an insult to a compliment. "Well, you did say that your mom was lovely so thank you for comparing me to her, it's an honor."

He snorted as he accepted his defeat there.

"But yeah, I am done with everyone elses gift except for Harry." I muttured as I looked at my right to see the displays in the stores. Everything was on Christmas sale, thank god.

"But why?"

I cleared my throat. "Well, I don't know! What can you give to someone who already has or can get everything he wanted in this planet?"

Oliver muttered something that I didn't catch on. "Huh, what was that?"

He shook his head and replied with a hushed, "Nothing."

As we went further down the aisle, we spotted the same toy store we have passed a couple of times during our rounds earlier. Oli kept pleading to go in, but I kept refusing. This time, seeing on how bored he is, I finally let him.

"Okay, okay. I'll be back in fifteen minutes. Don't go talking to strangers, yeah?" My inner self laughed at me seeing on how hypocritcal that is. Heck, I have been hanging out with six used to be strangers. Oliver nodded as I felt him let go of my hand and happily trotted inside the toy store. Man, how I would want to go back to the days were Barbie dolls were enough to satisfy me for a whole month.
