Arinesa POV:
Why? Why did I have to be put on guarding babysitting duty?! I was a seraphim angel, I have devoted centuries to the cause of being a lords warrior, I am one of the most high ranking Angels and what am I forced to do? Babysit a child who can't even stand the site of blood. Brilliant.

Does she think I can't tell she's staring at me with those big eyes. However, keeping my resolve I decide against commenting on it, atleast not while I'm driving. Being miles away from her home I begin to see the Grand Hotel. The place we would be staying at.

It's been miles on the road and I could tell she was tired. Funny because I was the one driving, I was the one who fought. I was the one that did all the work. However in all fairness, Angels don't get tired. It's not natural for us. That's what it always confused me as to why God would create such vunerable creatures. They could be killed as quickly as a snap of my fingers.

Pulling into the carpark she hadn't taken those big eyes off of me. Spinning in my seat I make sure I've leaned forward enough so the she would be able to feel my breath in her face.

"Can I help you? You've barely taken your eyes off of me the entire time." My voice came out harsher than I had meant it to. But oh well, I'm stuck babysitting a child who have barely stopped being apes.

"Well?" I addressed her in a bit more of a softer tone this time. I mean since I am going to be stuck with her on the case im aight as well make sure that she doesn't hate me, because hating will not get us anywhere.

"I was trying to figure out how naive Angels are when it comes to personal space."
I could tell that she was trying to be sassy but all I could focus on was the quiver in her voice.
Moving out of the car I say back to her "get out, we need to go and get a room."

Seeing the look of shock spread across of her face as she twisted the words so that they carried an alternative meaning. With a smile brushing my lips I made sure I wasn't facing her, as I was out of the car.

"Well we need some place to stay and sleep whilst we work on the murder of your parents. However I'm an angel, so some scrappy motel will not be good enough. Hurry up."

Making our way into the front office, I book in and make sure everything is paid for. I could see her looking around in awe at the grandness of this hotel. I couldn't help but feel a little warmth, for first time in a very very long time. Wait what? No, Nope. You are an angel and humans killed your companion. They are monsters.
