Tonight, Denim would be hosting a family game night. Denim had grown close to the members of the Warriors team through her brother Draymond, and gained the nickname "Nimmie."

Yet, there was just one that she could never get along with. Donte. It was just like every time they were in the same room, they would argue about something.

Donte felt that Denim was rather bratty, and Denim felt that Donte was enormously arrogant. Except, she would say that that was a proven fact.

Denim, and Hazel stood in the kitchen, cutting up fruits and vegetables for platters.

"Nah sis, I think I'ma have to take some of these grapes home," Hazel said as she popped one into her mouth.

"Feel free, I'll be back at the grocery store tomorrow anyway," Denim shrugged.

"I don't mind if I do," she sung.

Denim snapped the lid on top of the bowl of cantaloupe, and then put it in the refrigerator. Afterward, she washed her hands over the sink, and dried them off.

"So remind me, who's coming?" Hazel asked.

"The guys, and their girlfriends. The ones I like, of course." Denim smiled smugly.

Hazel rolled her eyes, "why don't you and Donte bury the hatchet? I could see you two getting along very well, actually."

"You thought I was talking about Donte? Oh girl I meant 40, his ass would never step foot in my home. But Donte don't need to be here either." Denim laughed at her joke.

"So what, you really didn't invite him?" Hazel replied.

Denim leaned against the island, "no, I'm not that "bitchy," I invited him. He just never told me if he was coming or not," she shrugged.

"Do you think he will?" Hazel inquired as she cut up some red bell peppers.

"I'm not counting on it." Denim shrugged.

Denim truly felt that she, and Donte didn't have much of a reason to mingle, or be "buddy-buddy," however she felt it would be rude to extend an invitation to everyone, and then exclude him.

The sliding glass door that led to the deck opened, and Hazel and Denim turned to it. Draymond walked in with a bottle of beer in his hand.

"Didn't you just have a wine cooler?" Hazel raised an eyebrow.

"Going from a wine cooler to beer is crazy," Denim co-signed.

"Shut up, I like to keep my options wide." Dray retorted as he walked over to the two.

"Yeah well if you let them get too wide your card will be used to buy some more," Denim warned him. "You starting on the grill before, or after everyone gets here?"

"After," he answered. "But not too much later."

Denim nodded, and shifted her weight from one leg to the other. "I'm not missing anything?"
