" ELEANOR ! "
casey called from the kitchen to the girl on the couch , who was bonding with her sister over another horror movie they were about to watch once more.
" what's up ? " ellie called from
the living room .
" I'VE ONLY GOT EXTRA BUTTER IS THAT OKAY? "
she shouted once more to the girls .
" yeah that's good ! " ellie gave a quick reply before going back to talk with her sister ,
quickly you could hear the POP, POP, POP, of the popcorn on the stove as casey shuffled to the
living room to slide in the film,
and handed the girls the remote before returning to the kitchen shaking the popcorn around. she stood there, putting her hand on her hip.
a loud ring ran through the house, startling each girl. ellie's head cocked over to the house phone, going up to answer it.
" helloo ? " she answered in a bit of an annoyed tone .
" hey babe . "
a deep voice erupted from the phone, making ellie clutch it.
she shared a look with her sister and turned to look at casey who was casually shaking the popcorn .
" who's this ? "
the girl asked turning towards the tv screen .
" just a little friend of caseys . could you put her on the phone for me baby? "
the deep voice shook through the telephone again .
she gagged at the pet name and turned towards casey .
" CASEY! THIS ONES FOR YOU . "
ellie called, meeting casey halfway before handing her the phone and walking back to the couch to sit with her sister .
casey smiled watching the girl sit back down and answered politely
" who are you trying to reach ? "
she answered shaking the popcorn that smelt a bit burnt .
" what's that noise ? "
the voice asked, but it didn't seem to bother casey. even though she didn't know the person.
" popcorn ! "
she smiled , holding the phone to her ear and lifting up the small skillet of popcorn before setting it back down .
" i only eat popcorn at the movies . "
the voice casually replied .
" well i'm getting ready to watch a video , "
she said turning to check on the sisters who were laughing at the scary movie .
" really? what? "
" oh just some.. scary movie . "
she said going to lay her arm on the counter top, watching the movie from the kitchen .
" you like scary movies ? "
the voice scarily asked .
" uh-huh . "
casey said smiling.
