"Welcome to my humble abode!" Linus chuckled. "Make yourselves at home. I managed to snag some snacks earlier today."

The office was a bit run down but In pretty good condition. There were couches along some of the walls and a pretty decent amount of food stacked up on some tables. Korvo had to admit, it was a pretty nice set up. For now.

The kids made their way over to the food instantly while Terry plopped down on a nearby couch. He groaned and gripped his ankle in pain.

"You've been limping all day, Terry. You alright?"

"Yeah yeah I'm fine just..." Terry sucked in air through his teeth as if he were holding back a whine. "-Just sprained my ankle or something."

Sucking in another breath, Terry removed his shoe slowly. His ankle was definitely sprained. It was swollen blue and purple and twice its normal size.

Korvo gasped, "Jesus Terry! Why didn't you tell us how bad it was? I could've helped sooner."

Linus took his foot gently and applied a bit of pressure to it. Terry tried not to squirm.

"I don't think you would've helped much, bud. This looks pretty bad." Linus commented.

"It's a sprained ankle. I can handle a sprained ankle!"

Korvo's blood boiled as he saw the scrawny man look up at him with an unimpressed look.

"Uaaagh can everyone stop yelling for five minutes!?" Terry loudly proclaimed whilst covering his ears.

"Sorry, Terbear. I'll fix ya up, bud." Linus patts Terry's shoulder and left the room.

Korvo waited until Linus looked to be out of earshot before speaking up. "What the hell is up with that guy??"

"What? He's a chill dude, Korv."

"He...you-you saw the way he looked at me. He was giving me a uh..stink eye!"

"You did bash his face in."

"He tried to kill me!"

"You tried to kill me too when we first met and you don't see me being a stinker about it."

Korvo sneered at the memory. "I did not try to kill you when we first met."

"You literally pointed a gun at me when you and Yum found out Jesse was-" Terry didn't get to finish his sentence before Korvo shushed him as he spotted Linus coming back from the other room.

Linus came in with a handful of medical supplies looking proud of himself. "Heyy, good news, we have enough supplies to help us and the kids."

"Wha-What about me?" Korvo spoke up.

"Hmmm," Linus hummed as he shuffled the medical supplies around to see if he had anything. "Yeah no sorry I don't think we have anything else than this."

Korvo grumbled frustratingly before Terry laid a hand on his arm.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm sure we have something from our last scavenge. I can help when my ankle feels better." He said with a smile.

Embarrassingly, Korvo's face turned red by the gentle gesture. He couldn't help but feel just a little bit more calm. "Fine.." Korvo reluctantly agreed.

"Catch." Linus said as he tossed a first aid kit into Korvo's hands. He puts a hand on Terrys shoulder. "Go fix up the kids while I deal with Terradactical here." Terry smiles up at Linus the same way he smiled at Korvo.

  Ugh.

Korvo walks away from the two with a sour expression. His heart feels like it's been stabbed with an ice pick. Then again that could be chalked up to having several injuries on his person but he couldn't deny how much it hurt seeing Terry turn his interests towards a technical stranger.
