Dear Diary Untold Secrets

Tails opened his eyes, waking up from the deafening chitchats abaft his window, Thinking that it must be some people who were just being annoying he stood up rubbing his eyes before opening his curtains, This time it wasn't the sweet sound of birds singing that greeted him.

Instead he gasped from the sight of hundreds of people outside their house yelling and taking picture, Their voices echoed in his ears the flashes from their camera's were blinding, Due to the shock he was unable to understand what any of them was saying, nonetheless he was frozen at the moment, Till he was shaken by his mother.

"What is going on mom? What are they here for?" Tails held the cold shivering hands of his loving mother helping her sit on the side of the bed. She knows why they were here, and that she needs to tell her son the truth rather than hearing it from the news. She placed her both hands on Tails shoulders and spoke. " There's something you must know dear................."

Tails POV

My mother's words pierced both my heart and mind, Why? why is she telling this only now? Her words became more and more complicated for me to hear. At that moment I could only think of one thing, I have to talk to them. Unconsciously I stood up as if my body has a mind of its own, I sprinted down the halls reaching the back door in a matter of seconds, I had the keys to my car and before I knew it I was inside , The engine made a vrooming sound, Driving almost like a crazy person, Everything started to make sense to me why they knew me so well, Why I felt at ease around them, Why I liked them from the start.

I went to the same route my mother told me where I had an accident, I have no idea where Shadow lives but my hands were steering the wheels on their own, I felt like I know the path I'm taking like the back of my hand, A sharp pain started crunching my head, memories started flashing with every unbearable pain, My eyes shut itself tight, It was horrible that I just automatically hit the breaks, Screeching sounds was made, It took a few seconds till the vehicle finally  stopped I panted, My eyes widen with the same pain striking my head again, Flashes of my memory started entering my head like thunder bolts, Tears flowed along with the excruciating pain, But the memories were so precious I continued, Alas the image in my head were clearing up, I can see what I saw back then, I feel what I felt, I hear what I had been missing for so long.

"Daddy lift me up higher! " "Okay! Here. We. Go!"
"Mommy when is daddy gonna get home?" Soon enough baby"
"Do you think we'll be friends forever?" "Silly Sonic, We awe gonna be friends fowever!"
"Promise us!" "I pwromise Shadow"
"I go here all the time" "My name's Tails by the way" "My name's Silver"
"I don't really like my name" "How bout Rookie?!"
"When we grow up we will marry you!"
"Until then promise us you wont love another!"
"I promise"

Reality finally hit me After hearing the Rain making a loud drumming sound, I stared at the waters that felt like it was going to get stronger every drop, My heart were heavy Yet something was warm inside, Just like snow that refuses to melt, protected by that little shade, And the faces  the faces I wanted to see smiling before me. As i held the steering wheel ready to once again

Shadow's POV

Reporters and paparazzies surrounded the house Sonic and I were unable to even take a peek from the window, But I don't want it to stop me from explaining everything to Tails, " There's always that small tunnel" I turned to Sonic dumbfounded "That's the smartest thing you said today, I just hope we still fit" I nodded, It was never my favorite way route to escape these walls but my choices were limited, I had one of the worst memories with that hole, It actually was infested by spiders, Sonic has Arachnophobia ( I searched about this By the way ) and yes he jumped in fear hitting his head on the hard ground causing him to loose consciousness, I had to drag his heavy ass out, And it didn't happened once.

As we crawl through the narrow space, I kept on praying that there wont be any spiders, Knowing how heavy he is and how cramped this place is. We grasp for air as we reach the way out, Finally being able to stand on my feet, There were hundreds of people surrounding the house thankfully we were able to get away from their attention without any distress, well that was too easy till it started pouring hard, The tickling friction of the water was not my concern, But this blue idiot before me, He is unable to swim and absolutely hates water, He still takes bath though, I hope. We entered to forest with confidence, knowing every twist and turns in this place I was more concern with the lazy hedgehog behind me, Not that I care much, I just hate dragging his ass.

Sonic's POV 

The feeling of the cold drops of rain irritated me yes, but not as much as the guilt annoys me right now, My heart felt heavy as if it was injected with guilt, anger and frustration, Its bad enough that this happened worse is that Tails doesn't even know two shits about what the hell is going on, Shadow leaded the way since he always thought people around him should be protected by him, I respected that since its a promise he keeps, the sound of the pouring rain filled the quiet forest it is the only sound to be heard,  there's not a presence of warmth just the cold shivering wind joining forces with the heavy rain. But I was able to forget how much I despise it, letting Shadow lead the way out of this forest.

Author's POV

Anxiety flowed through their vain along with the running water through their quills, The cold streaming drops of rainwater made the situation worse than it already is, Because Tails is still far from close, The wet ground didn't helped either, Instead it formed a clay like texture, making every step tremendous, This irritating situation made Sonic halt, The discomfort was making a simple task impossible, Shadow noticed this, Instead of getting mad, He decided to take the moment as an opportunity to take a few deep breaths. The heavy pouring rain slowly stopped causing the dark grey sky to fade from the warm embrace of the sun. The cold wind but warm light made Shadow dozy, the present condition of the surroundings was enough to send him to a slumber, Being asleep also means being off guard, defenseless. The two slept peacefully resting their backs against a bulky oak tree unwary that someone was watching them as they take steady breaths.

This person had no words instead he slowly approached the two sleepyheads, The sight formed a smile against his muzzle slowly pulling himself down to level their faces with his, Tears forge in his eyes for what like the third time, he gently extend his arm wanting to feel the presence of the creatures before him, The feeling of his soft palm is responsible for the sudden shock that made its way to Shadow's spine. He opened his eyes but had to blink twice before he realize who the was the person before him.

"Tails!........." Joy and confusion was present from his voice, This woke the azure hedgehog that was sleeping like a person in a coma. It was a moment of silence before Sonic managed to speak, Only to hear another yell of "Tails!!.." The anticipation made Sonic crave the warmth from Tails body. It was a heartwarming hug, especially when Shadow joined by simply wrapping his arms around the two of them, Non wanted to break free from that hug, felt like a strong bonfire under the snowy night.

After a couple of minutes past Tails slowly pulled away from their embrace, Looking into their eyes like a doll not blinking once then spoke "Why the hell did you lied? and the worst part is how the heck did you got my mother? THE MOST HONEST WOMAN I KNOW?! keep this a secret from me!?" Sonic and Shadow could feel the emphasis on the 'Most honest woman I know' part, He was almost screaming which made their ears fell flat to their heads, mostly because of guilt, Shadow stared at Tails with all the compassion he could, Knowing that it started because of his desire to gaze upon the fox before him during his darkest hour "Tails... It was not aunty Rose's fault it was a choice we made, to protect-" Tails cut Shadow off by pulling his body closer to his leaving the ebony hedgehog too stunned to speak. Sonic on the other hand, had his mouth slightly open even he didn't expect that.
"I never blamed anyone, not mom, not Sonic, nor you I guess all I could say is... Im so happy to be able to remember... everything." Tails carefully stroked his soft but stiff quills shaking the sadness away as he continued to speak "I remember you guys, always doing everything you knew that would be best for me, Please stop protecting me, And let me protect you" Sonic and Shadow's heart soften from his strong words but loving voice, "Can we even win an argument with you" Sonic spoke in a joking manner, earning a small laughter from the yellow fox, Tails started to relax his body leaning his back for support from the same oak tree letting two hedgehogs rest their heads on his shoulders, Inhaling the smell of the wet forest I slowly drifted to sleep.
