I click the safety off my gun, pointing the black barrel up at the ceiling. Waiting. "Get her!"

I turn my head slightly to the side to see the guys all rushing towards me. What? The thuds against the elevator suddenly mean nothing to them now?

Well I do have a gun and they are trapped in an elevator with me so I guess I understood why they found me the bigger threat in the situation. Although they were about to be completely wrong in about three... two... one.

Part of the ceiling was ripped off in a matter of seconds. The metal scraping as it's torn causing an unpleasant sound as it's thrown aside like it weighed nothing more than a piece of cardboard.

The familiar piercing scream ripped through the air so loudly that I could hear it echoing throughout the elevator shaft. I flinch back but don't cover my ears. I was all too familiar with the sound to do so but that didn't mean I could stand the scream. No matter how many times I've heard it, I don't think I ever will be.

However, all my friends (if they still even consider me as a friend after all of this is over) covers their ears and shuts their eyes tightly as if that could shut off the screaming itself. If only it were that simple.

I wouldn't blame them though, after all it did sound like screeching tires mixed with chalk being scraped violently across a chalkboard.

It was all black. It's yellow teeth were razor sharp and could probably cut through metal, you know besides flesh and bones. It's tall, slender human like figure was perched up. It's big, white, diamond shaped eyes were targeted dead at me.

"What the hell is that?" Zach breaths out.

It slowly turns its gaze away from me, towards them. No, no, no, no! I silently beg for it to turn back to me and avoid them entirely, after all it wasn't here for them.

I watch in horror as I see it ready to lunge towards them. I don't think, I just act. The gun in my hands fire away as the bullets penetrates it's chest. It was an amateur move of me. Everyone knows to go for it's head but my emotions got the better of me. A move that could be end up rather costly if I don't get my act together.

It swivels it's head back to me and lunges towards me instead. There's another scream ripping through the air, this one human. I turn to Casey alarmed, momentarily forgetting about the creature, when I'm suddenly knocked onto the ground. The momentum caused me to let go of the gun and have it scatter away from me in surprise. I try to pushing it away from me by it's shoulders in a desperate attempt to keep its razor teeth away from me.

It had been so long that I had felt the texture of their skin that I almost forgot how human like it felt. Whenever it moved I felt it's sharp bones under my fingers. The veins that popped out of its neck... the difference however was it's thin leathery coat that stretched as it kept chomping its teeth at me.

"My gun! I need it!" I yelled. Hoping to god that they would at least slide it back to me. But of corse they didn't.

It's claws reaches for my arms to try to pin them down on either side of me. I punch it in the face quickly before it could get the chance to and quickly glance to my right where they stood.

They were all in the corner of the elevator standing paralyzed, looking at both the thing and I, trying to comprehend with terrified eyes what was going on. "Give me my gun!" I shout at them, hoping it would break their daze. It didn't.

The shrieking continues, causing me to focus my attention back towards my situation. My arms shook as it continued nearing me with it's sharp jagged teeth and screams. This time I scream out as well, in rage, as I shove my fist through it's mouth, feeling the various crunches of veins and bones until my fist was out the back of it's head. Welp, that's one way of killing that damned thing.
