The attempted abduction and the bag of sweets

It was a cool, warm day and England and London were making their way to the local newsagents to buy a few items. London was looking forward to indulging herself in the jarred sweets that were placed behind the counter. England just wanted the newspaper. As they turned the corner, a tall man with spiked, blonde hair jumped out of nowhere.

"Haha! Who is this?! A new country? Would you like to be a part of my country, young lady?" He said, swinging his axe casually. England's eyebrow twitched and he put a protective arm on London, pulling her next to him.

"No, she would not! She's a capital, not a country and she's my sister!" England shouted at him.

"O-oh! We'll we'll see about that!" The man chuckled and lunged at England.

"Big Brother!" London cried out. England looked at London, her eyes full of fear and worry.

"It's okay, London, just stay back and let me get rid of Denmark and we can go get your sweets, okay?"  England and Denmark fought for some time until Denmark finally gave up. He sighed and swung his axe back on his shoulder.

"Man, I was hoping to expand my country, maybe next time, eh?" he walked off, leaving a tired England and a confused London.

"Let's go get your sweets now," England said softy, picking up London and letting her bury her face in his green jacket. When they arrived, her eyes lit up at the sight of all the sweets and he laughed as she pointed to almost every option. She gave the shopkeeper the shiny coins in exchange for the colourful confectionary and reached out at the striped paper bag.

"Thank you!" She smiled and began eating the sweets, waving a red vine in England's face until he looked and ate it, tucking the paper under his arm.

"Let's go home now, yeah?" London nodded, her cheeks padded out with sweets,
