It's been two days since the party. And today is a bitch! I bought my camera that Saturday morning so I can start my half of the projects do when we had to draw out of a bowl what we are supposed photograph we got 'beauty' it gave me the perfect plan I'll take perfect timed pictures of Lainie it's going to be difficult but doable soon enough Lainie walked up next to me "meet me at my house and we can figure out what we are gonna do" and then she walked away. Something is off about her today she hasn't smiled or laughed her spunk is gone but she is still beautiful and she always knows what to wear.

After I talked to Justin I went straight for my brothers car I refuse to speak to him, I know it's stupid but still he shouldn't have followed me, I actually haven't spoken to anyone except to tell Justin to come over to work on the project "come on Lainie you have to speak at one point" I look over at Harry and raise one of my eyebrows to give him the 'are you serious look' he sighed then started his car and drove home I got out to see Justin leaning on his truck I waved him in the house "where is my little girl?" My eyes widen at my dads voice "DAD!!!!" I run and hug him tight I may be sixteen but I'll always love my dad "how is my beautiful grey eyed girl?" I giggle "I'm great dad how was your trip to Maui?" You see my dad is Robert Wyland the famous painter "it was amazing I saw two humpback whales breach at the same time!! It was absolutely amazing oh I brought you and your brother something back" I got excited "Harry!!!!" Harry came into view and my happy mood ended "what's up pops?" Dad chuckled as someone cleared their throats "oh who's this?" He looks at harry thinking it's one of his friends I but in "Justin this is my dad Robert, dad this is Justin he's my partner in photography" he nodded and Justin shook his hand "I love your work sir" my dad gave him a curt nod "thank you, what's your favorite pice?" I honestly thought Justin was bluffing "the black and white whales tail with another humpback breaching behind it, its magnificent!" My dad chuckled and I smiled at my dad "ah yes, it's called sea salt, thats gray's favorite too mostly because that's the year I took her on a trip with me and she got to go see it in person" I roll my eyes at his nickname for me "dad what did you bring back!!" Of course it's harry asking that "well for you I got another ring wit honu's on it" he looked at dad confused so I butted in "its turtle in hawaiian stupid" he looked at me then said something under his breath then dad looked at me "Gray that's not very polite, what happened" my eyes widened "she stopped talking again" I glared at Harry. "again?" We all look at Justin and I look to the floor "When Lainie started high school I want to say a week in into school she stopped talking I still don't know what happened" Harry cleared his throat knowing exactly what happened "dad, I'm fine.. and I really need to get this project done I love you" I hugged him tight then I walked to the back patio and nodded at Justin to follow but my dad stopped him "Lainie you go on a head I'd like to speak with Justin" I nodded and went out by our little beach.

"You see Justin, my daughter is very fragile she may not seem like it but she is, I don't know what happened and I'm afraid to know..." I continue to listen him "I want to know what happened, do you know what happened?" I nod "yes sir, but I'm not sure you would want to hear it from me. You should ask your son" again he gave me a curt nod. "You're a smart young man. You can go now" I nodded and shook his hand. "yes sir" I walked out with my camera around my neck I see the sun is hitting her perfecting I can only see her silhouette I opened my lens and snapped it quick "what was that?" I'm guessing she heard the click of my camera "oh uh... Uh I saw a butterfly I thought it was beautiful" she nodded "okay, by the way I totally didn't expect you to know any of my fathers work" I smirked "of course I do, he's amazing kind of like someone else I know" I leaned toward her and she backed up "oh no pretty boy, your not playin' me" she got up and walked to the edge of the water and looked back at me and slightly smiled I snapped a picture and her smile faltered "why did you take that?" I looked at her then back at the picture then back at her "because I just captured beauty" her cheeks turned pink "thanks" I smiled and looked at her again "Lainie cou-" she cut me off "so that project?" At that moment my chest tightened and I felt hurt...
