"Hoy, putot! Long time no see..."
Cole greeted as he approached Tania.
"..."
Tania was unable to respond because her mind was still processing everything. But that doesn't mean she wasn't drawn to Cole's emerald eyes.
Eyes that looks so beautiful yet can pierce her heart a million times...
"Hi..."
Tania replied in an awkward tone.
"Long time no see din...Welcome back to the Philippines!"
She then followed.
They both talked and caught up on events in their lives, but Tania was trying hard not to bring up THE PAST. That's why she didn't make the atmosphere uncomfortable for the both of them while waiting for her boss to arrive.
After a short while...
"Ms. Tania!"
Another familiar voice called her.
When Tania looked in the direction of the voice, she was surprised to see Cole's older brother, Jayden!

Cole and Jayden have lived in the Philippines since they were young, but six years ago, their parents made the decision to return to the UK. Although, they are already fluent in speaking Filipino and also learned a few Bisaya words.
"Wow, Tania! You've grown into such a beautiful woman."
Jayden complimented.
"Thank you, Jayden. I didn't expect to meet you both here."
Tania replied.
Not long, the atmosphere became awkward as expected and Cole had nothing to say also for a variety of reasons, which is why Jayden got straight to the point and asked Tania.
"By the way, Tania, can you be my secretary?"
Tania was even more surprised by what Jayden proposed because the day had already been full of surprises. That's why she questioned right away.
"Ikaw pala yung boss sa company na pag a-aplayan ko?"
Jayden answered and followed a question.
"Oo, hindi ba sinabi ni tita sayo?"
Tania thought about it and suddenly recalled that her mother was about to tell her something and that perhaps she wanted to let her know that Jayden was the owner of the company.
"Anyway, meeting you again might be fate."
With a wink to Tania, Jayden said in an undertone voice. Because Cole felt a little uneasy, he avoided the conversation and returned to his car. Knowing Cole was gone now made Tania feel somewhat relieved.
Tania spotted a gorgeous woman coming toward Jayden as they entered the lobby. After looking at her, she came to the conclusion that she might also be from the UK.
"Jayden, I think the interior design is already good and--"
The woman suddenly spotted Tania.
"Ms. Tania Gomez! Glad to finally meet you in person."
She greeted her in glee but Tania was a bit confused.
"Oh, I'm truly sorry. I'm Katie Jones, an architect and same age as Cole. I heard a lot about you from Cole and he told me about the both of you too."
Katie said.
"Wow, I hope he doesn't talk about me too much ehehe."
Tania replied followed by an awkward laugh.
"It's fine, I know he's already over it. In fact, we're engaged now and our wedding will be at the end of the year."
Tania felt a stab of pain in her heart as she heard those words. She was perplexed and believed that she had already moved on, but it hurts to know that the pain didn't go away and instead lingered, waiting for the right moment to break out once more.
