CASSIE ELIZABETH ROUTLEDGE was born and raised on the southside of the island, also known as The Cut. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, like her mother. Everybody wanted to be her, she didn't know why though, she's known as the girl who's mother abandoned her. Until she started hanging out with the Pogues. Then everyone saw her differently. Cassie is the daughter of Derek Routledge and Elizabeth Miller. She got her mother's looks but her father's personality and temper. Cass is by far the best surfer on the cut, aswell as her best friend since third grade, JJ, and her cousin, John B, but we'll get to them later. When Cass was 6 years old, her dad gave her a sharktooth. The sharktooth was passed down from her great-grandfather, Robert Q. Routledge, who passed it onto her grandfather, Stephan Routledge , who then passed it onto her father. I think you get it. Anyways, Derek passed it onto his daughter. You'll know more bout the sharktooth later on..

Derek Routledge is Cassie's loving father. He's the younger brother of Big John Routledge. He used to be in the military, but had to leave after 5 years because Cassie was born. He closed the last book of him in the army and opened a new book for a new chapter in his life: raising his daughter. Derek has a good sense of humour, and makes his daughter laugh everyday. He taught Cass how to ride a bike, how to read, and how to tie her shoelaces. He taught her what's right and what's wrong. He learnt how to tie her hair up for school when she was 5. He even showed her how to use a gun at age 13 (might come in handy later). In conclusion, he's a great dad who loves and cherishes his daughter. Cass is basically Dereks twin. (scary or badass cass???)

Elizabeth Miller, the mother of Cassie. Now she's a different kettle of fish. When Elizabeth found out she was pregnant, she was thrilled, over the moon. She always wanted to start a family, with the right person of course. Derek thought Elizabeth was the love of his life (corny or cute??) but Elizabeth had other ideas. People thought she was the kindest soul you could meet on the street coming home from the store, or bumping into the women by accident. Boy were they wrong. Where do i begin : she told her 10 year old daughter she was a mistake, she took all their money when she bailed. Oh, and she was having an affair. With who? oh, we'll find out don't you worry. Anyways, enough of her... for now.
