It was a quiet night and Cole and Vania were sound asleep in their bed. Suddenly, they were both awakened by the sound of their baby daughter Lilly crying in her room. Cole rubbed his eyes and sat up, listening to the cries of his daughter. Vania had already jumped out of bed and rushed to Lilly's room. She scooped up the crying baby and rocked her back and forth in her arms, trying to calm her down.

"Shhh, it's okay, Lilly," Vania whispered, "Mama's here, everything's okay."

Cole got out of bed and walked over to them, rubbing Lilly's back and gently patting her head. "What's wrong with her?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.

"I don't know," Vania replied, "She's just crying."

Lilly's cries turned into wails, and Vania's heart sank. She hated to see her daughter so upset and didn't know what to do to comfort her. She paced back and forth in the room, trying to think of a way to soothe Lilly.

Suddenly, Lilly's cries turned into sobs and she started to thrash around in Vania's arms. "No, no, no!" she cried out.

"It's okay, Lilly, it's okay," Vania said, her voice shaking a little.

Cole stepped in and gently took Lilly from Vania's arms. He held her close to his chest, rocking her back and forth. "Shhh, it's okay, Lilly," he murmured, "Daddy's here."

Lilly's sobs slowly subsided as Cole continued to hold her, patting her back and singing softly to her. Vania watched with relief as her husband calmed their daughter down.

After a few minutes, Lilly's crying had stopped completely and she had fallen asleep in Cole's arms. Cole laid her back down in her crib and the couple exchanged a worried glance. They didn't know what had caused Lilly's nightmare, but they both knew they would be there for her whenever she needed them.

"I'm going to stay here with her for a while," Vania said softly, "You go back to bed."

Cole nodded and gave Vania a quick kiss on the forehead before leaving the room. He couldn't help but worry about his daughter and what could have caused her to have such a scary dream.

As Vania sat in the rocking chair with Lilly sleeping soundly in her arms, she couldn't help but think about how lucky she was to have such a loving family. She knew that whatever challenges they faced in the future, they would always face them together.

Eventually, Lilly's nightmare passed and she slept peacefully for the rest of the night. But Vania and Cole stayed up for a while, holding each other close and reflecting on the importance of family and the strength of their love.
