A/N: I decided to add another chapter in this book as I continue to write the Blood of Evil. Btw, all my progress for that book is GONE! I can't find it on my computer and I forgot half the story so... yeah, I'm back to zero here.

Ephesians 4:2

"Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love." NLT

The moon hung low in the night sky, casting a silvery glow over the tranquil gardens of Shintaro. Vania, the Queen, walked among the fragrant blossoms, her gown flowing like water around her. She paused to admire a cluster of night-blooming flowers, their delicate petals opening to the light.

"Beautiful, aren't they?" a familiar voice broke the stillness.

Vania turned to see Cole, the Black and Earth Ninja, stepping out of the shadows. He looked ruggedly handsome, his dark attire contrasting with the softness of the garden.

"They remind me of you," she replied with a smile, her eyes sparkling. "Resilient and beautiful, even in the dark." Cole stepped closer, a teasing grin on his face. "And here I thought I was the dark one."

"Only because you keep lurking in shadows," she laughed lightly. "You should try stepping into the light more often."

"Maybe I just prefer to keep an eye on you," he said, his voice low and sincere. "Especially with the kingdom at stake."

Vania's heart fluttered at his words. "You always worry too much, my Shadow Knight. But I appreciate it."

He took a moment to gaze at her, the moonlight illuminating her features. "It's not just duty, you know. I care about you, Vania. More than I thought I could."

She felt her cheeks warm. "I care about you too, Cole. You've always been my protector, but lately... it feels like there's something more."

Cole shifted, taking a step closer, his expression serious. "I've been thinking the same thing. It's hard to ignore the bond we've formed. You mean more to me than just the mission."

Vania bit her lip, a mix of excitement and nervousness swirling within her. "Then let's explore it. Together."

A smile broke across Cole's face, and for a moment, the weight of the world faded away. "Together sounds perfect."

As they walked side by side, Vania led him to a stone bench nestled beneath an ancient cherry blossom tree. The petals drifted gently down like snow, creating a serene atmosphere."Tell me, what do you see when you look at the stars?" she asked, leaning back against the cool stone.

Cole leaned beside her, glancing up at the twinkling sky. "I see the battles we've fought, the struggles we've overcome. But I also see hope. Hope for a future... for us."

Vania's heart swelled. "I see beauty, adventure, and the promise of tomorrow. But mostly, I see you."

Cole turned to her, his eyes locking onto hers. "You're everything to me, Vania. Your strength, your kindness... they inspire me."

"Cole..." she whispered, feeling a rush of emotions. "You have no idea how much that means to me." He reached out, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, his fingers lingering on her cheek. "Can I tell you a secret?"

"Always," she replied, breathless.

"I've never felt this way about anyone before," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. "You've captured my heart."

Vania's breath caught. "And you've captured mine, my brave warrior."

In that moment, the world around them faded away. Cole leaned in, their lips brushing together softly, a gentle exploration that ignited a spark between them. It was a kiss filled with promise, a silent agreement that they were stepping into something beautiful. When they pulled away, Vania's eyes glimmered with joy. "That was... magical."

Cole chuckled, his gaze warm. "Just like you, my Queen."

"Now, what do we do next?" she asked, her heart racing.

"Whatever we want," he replied, his smile widening. "We have all the time in the world to discover this... whatever this is."

"Then let's make it an adventure," she said, her spirit alight with excitement. "Side by side, just like always."

"Side by side," he echoed, his hand finding hers, fingers intertwining effortlessly.Underneath the starlit sky, they sat together, dreaming of the future while cherishing the present—a bond that had blossomed in the shadows, now flourishing in the light.
