Sara was a good friend of mine. Her parents were friends with my parents. We basically grew up together. We were childhood friends ever since we learned how to walk and talk. We were basically inseparable. My dad was a known huntsman of the village and retired soon after my mom died. She died from an illness that not even a hospital from a nearby city knew of the so called illness. My dad became a drunk and rarely left the house. He hung up his sword and drank his sorrows away, despite it only delaying his emotions. Sara was there for me at the toughest part of my life that I learned to cope and accept her death. We were homeschooled by a few other citizens of the village. I was a good student, as well as Sara. Boys from the village had taken a liking to her but she, as a child, vowed to marry me. *chuckles* She was so innocent when she said it. I was stupid on the topic that I thought it as a sort of food. Years past and it was almost half a year ago. We were working on our farms and helping the local community with the village. We were playing around soon after we finished.

Sara: Cmon Y/n!

Y/n: Wait up!

Sara: You're so slow!

Y/n: Pssh, shut up Sara!

Villager: Hey!! The pigs escaped their pens!

Sara: On it!

Y/n: Oh jeez!

We chased a few pigs and managed to catch a few. I carried a big one to the wooden pen. It wiggled out from my grasp as Sara brought in the second to last pig. I was on the ground, rubbing my back, before Sara walked up to me and laughed. She reached down and I pulled her down as she was then covered in mud. I laughed before she flung a piece of mud onto my cheek. We stared at each other and laughed together as we sat on the muddy ground. I stopped laughing and got a good look of her face. Her smile was such a sight to see.

Sara: *laugh dies down* What's up Y/n?

Y/n: I never realized how nice your smile was...

Sara: *brushes a small strand of her hair back while blushing* Thanks.

Y/n: No..problem.

I found myself leaning toward her as she did the same. We kissed and felt a spark between us. We separated and looked at each other. We were red before leaning both our foreheads to one another. Sara was smiling wider than she ever has before. It was contagious. We were happy...That was until it happened...The floor shook as the trees were falling one by one as whatever came rushing towards us. I stood up and immediately saw people running. I looked to Sara and grabbed her hand as I lifted her up.

Y/n: Come on!!

Sara: O-Ok!!

I held her hand and went back to my house. I rushed in and saw my dad with his sword out.

Y/n: What's going on!

Dad: The grimm! They're coming! You two get to safety!

Sara: I need to go back out there and make sure my parents are ok!

Y/n: N-No! I am sure they're fine but just stay here!

Sara: Y/n please! I need to see them and make sure they're ok!

Y/n: ...Ok...But please be careful ok?

I grabbed her hand and rested her face on my hand as I looked into her eyes. I gave her a kiss and she returned the kiss. She heads for the door as my hold of her was slowly slipping. She closes the door and goes for her house. I decided that I wanted to go out there with her to make sure, so I decided to grab a knife before my dad stopped me.

Dad: I can't let you go out there.

Y/n: She is just a couple houses down! I want to be there for her! I need to-
