chan set up a meeting with minho after school and minho was rather nervous. he worried he did something wrong or he said something he shouldn't have.
the last thing he wants is drama. he's too tired, and he could care less.
"mr. bang, hi."
he smiled at the familiar face and opened the door wide to his classroom. "hello, mr. lee."
chan sat down at the chair in front of minho's desk and sighed. "how were the boys today? not too much trouble, i hope."
"amazing, as per usual. and please, minho is just fine."
chan nodded. "chan is fine for me." he shuffled in the chair and minho suddenly gasped. "ah! i had something to talk to you about as well. you go first."
"no, no that's fine. go ahead."
minho pursed his lips, pushing his glass that perched on the tip of his nose back slightly. "well, i've asked the kids to have their parents sign their quizzes. but the boys haven't given me a signature back."
the second chan's eyebrows furrowed, minho panicked. "there's no rush to this! i just wanted to let you know."
"i didn't know they needed a signature. they never spoke about it, i'm sorry."
minho nodded, pulling out two papers from his bag. "would you mind? it's just for the school board."
"oh, not at all!" he took the pen from minho's hand and signed the two tests that his boys did amazing on.
"now, um, there was one quiz that jeongin did in fact not pass on. and i hate to be that kind of teacher, but by my job, i have to show you."
minho pulled out another paper and rolled his eyes. "if i had a choice, i wouldn't show you. since this does not impact any grade, or mark in any way. and all he has to do is retake it tomorrow."
chan hummed, taking the paper from him and seeing the large fail stamped on it. minho winced at it and shook his head.
"that wasn't me. poor jeongin cried when he saw it. overall, your children are brilliant, chan. they just need that praise."
after chan signed the test, he decided it was time to ask.
"okay, um, this could be a bit awkward. but i am extremely busy tomorrow night, and i have no one to watch my boys. do you think you could? you don't have to."
minho noticed the rambling and chuckled. "it's really alright, chan. i'll be glad to help you out."
chan's eyes widened. "really? thank you so much. that helps me out an incredible amount."
"it's really no problem, chan. i love those two. when do you need me to take them from your hands?"
chan chuckled and took out his phone. "is a 5-9 okay? i should be back around 8:45-9 and they'll be sleeping anyway."
"yeah that's fine." minho noted the hesitation in chan's voice and smiled. "if you need me earlier, it's okay. i can."
"fuck, i work at 3."
minho nodded. "that's okay. i can help you. 3-9."
chan grasped his hands and shook them. "thank you, so, so much. can i get your number?"minho took out his phone after his hands were released, showing his number to chan. as he typed it in his phone, minho's eyes fixated on chan's features.
he blinked quickly when he spoke again. "sorry, what? i blanked." chan added a small laugh.
"i said, are we done here?"
"oh! yes, unless there's something else you need."
chan shook his head, standing up. "i'm good. but really, thank you so much. if they get to be too much, just text me and i'll come back."
"chan, i teach kids for a living. i can watch them for a bit."
minho worked on grading papers as chan was about to walk out and he gasped. "i forgot!" he whipped around and minho jumped.
"could you help them with their homework? they are too shy to ask."
"of course i can."
chan honestly didn't give a shit about homework. he just wanted to talk to minho.
"do you need any help here? just so i can make it up for tomorrow?"
minho smiled to himself and shrugged. "if you'd like to fix grammar mistakes with me, you're welcome to."
"i'd love to!" he had a sarcastic tone, and pulled his chair up next to minho. as soon as minho caught a whiff of chan's cologne due to closeness, he had to keep himself in line.
the two graded papers for the next little while, but, maybe chan started liking minho as much as the kids did.
