minho woke up, groaning softly. he got out of chan's bed, going into the bathroom to wash up. he knew chan had a long day of work ahead of him, so he decided to let him sleep in a bit and get the kids himself.
he opened the door to their room, smiling softly at how they were cuddled up in hyunjin's bed. he went to the side of the bed, shaking the two gently.
"time to wake up, babies."
jeongin's bleary eyes blinked up at him, and hyunjin squinted. "mama?" minho hummed, picking up jeongin as his arms were held out.
"got to get ready for school."
"d'you work 'day, mama?"
jeongin couldn't speak wntire sentences a lot, only simple ones. so sometimes it could be a challenge to decipher what the boy was saying.
"no, baby. i'm staying home today to get different work done, and daddy's going to pick you up, okay?"
jeongin frowned, and minho brought him to the bathroom where hyunjin was already brushing his teeth.
"what do you want for breakfast? eggs? fruit?"
"eggs, p'ease."
hyunjin nodded, spitting out the toothpaste and rinsing his mouth. "eggs sound good." minho smiled before leaving the bedroom and going into the kitchen.
he cracked the eggs in a bowl, whisking them and pouring them into a pan. he heard shuffling from the bedrooms, and figured chan was awake too.
he plated the eggs, and poured the water in the glasses. he washed the pan and put it back, when he felt arms around his waist from behind.
"morning, babe."
minho chuckled, the smell of chan's aftershave hitting his nose. "morning. sit and eat."
"are the kids up?"
minho nodded, setting the salt down in front of chan. "do you want me to pack you a lunch for work? or do you buy lunch?"
chan had to marry him fast.
"i would love a lunch from you, but not if your busy."
"i'll do it right now. what do you want? sandwich?"
chan ate his eggs, smiling as minho ran around to find something to put the lunch in. "just give me a paper bag, min. and yes, a sandwich is good. i'll eat whatever."
minho's eyes widened. "the kids' lunches!" he grabbed the lunchboxes from the cupboard and instantly filled them up with foods they liked.
he cut chan's sandwich after he finished it, putting in some fruit and a small note that chan didn't see him add.
the kids walked over to the counter and hopped on the stools, eyes lighting up at their lunchboxes.
"mama needs to pack our lunch everyday. i got two cookies?! innie look! you got two!"
jeongin's eyes lit up as he ate his eggs. when they finished eating, chan checked his watch. "get going, chan. i'll get these tricksters out of here on time."
chan nodded, grabbing his lunch and heading out. the door unlocked again and chan rushed back in.
"what'd you forget?-"
he kissed minho quickly, and rushed back out. minho blushed, turning back to the kids who had disgusted faces.
"get to the bus, my babies." as they were about to leave, minho gasped. "don't forget your bracelets!"
minho had given the kids each a bracelet that had both their phone numbers just incase of emergencies.
"have fun at school!"

minho rubbed his eyes, head pounding as he took off his glasses. he shut his laptop, yawning. his phone rang and he saw it was the school.
"hello?"
"m-ma-ma-" jeongin cried harder and minho's heart dropped. "innie, my darling, what's the matter?"
"c-come g-get me, p-p'ease-"
minho pressed the phone between his shoulder and his ear as the exhaustion left him completely. he slid his shoes on, grabbed the keys and ran out to the car.
"is jinnie with you, innie?"
jeongin hiccuped, shaking his head. "n-no- he's in c-class." minho exhaled slowly, debating on calling chan or not.
he decided not to, driving to the school. he was so thankful that it was a 5 minute drive. he parked the car, and rushed into the school to the office.
he saw jeongin in the chair, and opened the door. "mama!" minho picked him up, glaring at the teacher.
"what the hell is going on?"
"h-he r-ripped my w-work up-"
minho's glare sharpened on the man. "care to explain?"
"he didn't do his work on the paper i gave him. so i will not be marking his work, and will not accept it."
"go suck a dick, how about that? i'm reporting you to the board."
minho grabbed jeongin's bag, heading to hyunjin's class. he knocked on the door and smiled at theteachwr.
"i'm here to pick up hyunjin. family emergency."
hyunjin saw jeongin sobbing and packed up his bag, quickly going over to them. "what happened, mama?"
"his teacher was mean and ripped his work. we're going home, unless you want to stay but i doubt it."
hyunjin giggled, slinging jeongin's bag over his shoulder as well as his own and they headed out to the car.
