Random Story - Discontinued

Part 2: Monophobia

Good news! My cat is no longer judging me! And now he's sleeping on my bed as I'm writing this. There are 1380 words in this part/chapter!

Mushy woke up in her hammock with her blanket on the floor. She sighed and rolled around, then she fell out of the hammock with a thud. "Mmm Pretzel Sticks.", She mumbled. She stood up and picked up her blanket. She flew up to her hammock and placed the blanket inside, tucking in her small snake plushie before flying down to the floor. 

She walked over to her door and opened it, the smell of smoke immediately hit her. "WHAT IS BURNING?", Mushy heard Kait yell. "UH- DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT!," Xeno yelled from what sounded like the kitchen. Mushy rubbed her eyes and walked towards the kitchen. "what happened...?", Mushy mumbled loud enough for them to hear. 

In the kitchen, Kait was staring at Xeno, who was hiding the stove behind her. A lot of smoke came from the stove behind Xeno. She was a very pale skinned girl with long, dark brown hair, bright teal eyes, a black t-shirt and pants, and bright pink socks on with no shoes. 

Kait and Mushy were the only ones who wore shoes in the house, but Mushy only wore slippers or crocs for shoes. "Good morning Mushy!", Musi cheerfully greeted from one of the chairs that was next to the island counter. "Good morning, Musi", Mushy tried to sound cheerful, but she was very tired still.

She went around the kitchen and gathered a few things. With the ingredients, she made herself some chocolate, milk tea boba. She loved boba, so she decided to make herself some. Sure, she was half-awake, but she was craving chocolate and boba, so she made herself some chocolate, milk tea boba.

Kait finally got Xeno to move away from the stove to see what was burning. Mushy watched as Kait facepalmed and yelled, "WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU TRY TO COOK A HOTDOG WITH THE BUN, IN WATER, IN A POT? AND HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO BURN THAT???". Mushy was curious, so she went over to take a look at whatever Xeno tried to cook. Inside of the pot was a water-logged hotdog bun, a burnt hotdog, and some ketchup and mustard. Mushy shuddered at the food gore that Xeno created. "I was trying to cook the bun and the hotdog at the same time..." Xeno quietly said. Kait just looked at her as if she was insane.

"Maybe you should try to make something... Less complicated?", Musi suggested. Kait sighed, "Xeno, just clean up this... Mess." She reached into a cabinet and grabbed an unopened jar of peanut butter, "I'll be in my workshop. Don't do anything stupid.". Kait grabbed a spoon and walked into her workshop with the spoon and peanut butter. 

Xeno grabbed the pot that she used and started to wash it in the sink. Mushy flew over to her room, still carrying her boba. She placed her boba on her desk and sat down. She started to draw a comic of what had happened this morning. She loved to draw even though she wasn't that good at it. Although, it made her happy, so she did it anyways.

She drank her boba while drawing. She wondered why Xeno thought that it was a good idea to boil a hotdog, and why Kait took a jar of peanut butter and a spoon with her to her workshop. She shrugged off her questions and continued drawing.

Pov Switch!

Musi walked around the living room, wondering what the others were up to. She guessed that Kait was eating the peanut butter she took, and Xeno was cleaning up after her mess. She wasn't entirely sure what Mushy was doing. Mushy was a weird person. Not in a bad way, she was just unpredictable.

Musi looked through her memory files and remembered a certain program that she had. She never used it, and she hoped that she wouldn't. The program titled, 'go down with the ship'. It basically meant that if her creator or current main admin were to perish, she would permanently shut down or, if it comes down to it, she would dismantle herself. 

She was fearful that one day, it would activate. But her current main admin was Kait. And she was fairly sure that was wasn't going to die any time soon. she wasn't sure what happened to her creator. Any memory files she had of her creator were deleted or corrupted. She was snapped out of her thoughts by a loud explosion from Kait's lab. She quickly went over to Kait's workshop, she knew that it was most likely a failed experiment, but she just wanted to make sure that she was ok.

She slowly opened Kait's door and saw that Kait was holding a black orb that had moving streaks of dark colors in it. The orb looked like it was filled with smoke. Kait looked over at Musi. "Oh, hi Musi", she greeted. "What is that Kait?", Musi curiously asked as she closed the door and walked over to her. 

Kait held out the orb so Musi could see it, "this is an orb that, if everything goes right, will be able to teleport people to other universes and dimensions!". Musi could tell that Kait was excited about this new invention. "Wow! Thats amazing Kait!", Musi cheerfully responded. She always wanted to know more about places other than this house.

 "As long as it doesn't break, we should be able to control where we go!", Kait cheered. Musi sensed something appear behind them. She turned around and saw The Ghost. The Ghost didn't really have a name other than The Ghost. It was a mostly transparent, white ghost  who liked to appear and annoy everyone. 

Kait hated The Ghost, and The Ghost hated her. Musi didn't really mind The Ghost, but it was annoying when The Ghost changed the music she was playing. She wasn't sure how The Ghost could do that, but she didn't question it. Kait saw The Ghost and stared at it. The Ghost stared back. Kait held up the middle finger at The Ghost, and The Ghost did the same back with both hands

The Ghost then saw the orb that Kait was holding and without hesitation, smacked it out of Kait's hands. Kait panicked and tried to grab it. Kait almost grabbed the orb, but the orb hit the ground first. Everyone paused for a second, as if time stood still. Then, the smoke from inside of the orb started to spill out. Kait realized what was about to happen and yelled. "FUUU-", she was cut off by a giant blast of raw energy and magic from the orb. 

Musi was knocked back and blinded by the blast, and she assumed that Kait was too. She wasn't sure about The Ghost though. She waited a few moments, and her sigh returned. Everything was dark and everything felt different. Instead of the peanut butter and oil scented lab she was just in, it smelt of water and rot. She looked around and saw that she was in an alleyway. Everything was gray, and she heard some kind of tv show going on nearby. 

She was confused and worried about where she was. Where were the others? She tried to gather any information from her files as to where she was. The only information she got was the name 'Pale City'. She tried to sense any lifeforms in this place. She sensed two small lifeforms that were not very far from her, a few birds, and a few other odd creatures. She tried to find Kait's lifeforce but couldn't find anything. She panicked, worrying that her 'go down with the ship' program would activate. But she found a faint wisp of her energy, she seemed to be extremely far away. 

She knew she had to find the others and survive wherever she was. What happened to the others? where are they? She needed to know, but for now, she needed to get back.
