It has been 2 months after what happened between Pearl and Garnet. Optimus was with Garnet on a mission. A corrupted gem was located. She went to finish the gem off and put it in a bubble. Optimus notices that she is not acting like herself right now. The mission was a success, and they made it back to the temple. Pearl sees that they made it back.
Pearl: * moves past Optimus * Oh, Garnet. I was just looking for Peridot. She's bound to be somewhere, right? Are there any new ideas?
Garnet stares at her for a moment before walking away. Optimus sighs in disappointment to see that they won't probably fix their problem.
Pearl: I'm sorry.
Nora: Optimus, what should we do?
Optimus Prime: I don't know Nora.
Greg comes inside the beach house with tickets in his hands.
Greg: Who wants to go on a road trip?
Greg notices the tension in the house. He was nervous.
Greg: Um, is this a bad time?
Garnet: No, please continue.
Greg: Well, I gotta drive over the next state, Keystone.
Pearl: You mean the Keystone state?
Greg: Right. The state name, Keystone. I met a guy on an internet message board who's selling car wash brushes for real cheap. I just had to meet him in Keystone and pick them up.
Nora: I don't like those brushes. They feel weird on your fur.
Greg: Well, do you like motels?
Nora: Probably.
Greg: Think you'd like to stay at a motel with your favorite dad?
Nora: I don't know if you're my favorite.
Greg: What, huh. Oh, you, kidder. Come here.
Nora: I can't wait to get room service!
Greg: You're thinking about a hotel. We're going to a motel. It'll have a pool and free ice. And it is right next to the best diner in the world.
Garnet: * walks up * I'm coming too.
Pearl: What?
Nora: Even better.
Greg: Hey, Garnet, I know I'm talking this place up, but it ain't exactly the ritz.
Garnet: I'll be the judge of that.
Greg: Well, in that case, road trip!
Nora: Road trip!!
Garnet: * nods her head * Road trip.
Optimus Prime: I'm coming too.
Nora: That's great! You will have a great time.
Greg: I don't think I know your name.
Optimus Prime: My apologies. My name is Optimus Prime. It is nice to meet you.
Greg: * shakes his hand * Nice to meet you to Optimus. Also, how can you follow us?
Optimus Prime: I have my ways. Until then, let's get packed for the trip.
Pearl: Wonderful, I'll make sure that Amethyst knows that - * gets cut off * fine.
Garnet walks outside, not listening to Pearl.
Pearl: Well, goodbye.
Nora: This is going to be fun. Right, dad?
