~THIRD PERSON P.O.V
Sunset Shimmer seemed to be rushing to something important, running along the streets trying to get somewhere. She gets to Canterlot High as Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie make their way over to the steps while Applejack, Rainbow, Galaxy, and Flash are already there.
"I got your text, Rainbow Dash!" Sunset started saying while she came to a stop by the steps to the school. "Did something come through the portal? Is Equestrian magic on the loose? Did Twilight come back with a problem that only we can solve?!"
"Has a giant cake monster covered all the cakes in the world in cake?!" Pinkie exclaimed/questioned before she shoved two cupcakes into her mouth.
"Um, not exactly," Rainbow replied, picking up her guitar while she looked back at her friends nervously.
"Uh, I don't understand," Sunset mumbled in confusion.
Applejack stepped closer to Rainbow. "Well, Sunset, I was just tellin' Rainbow Dash here that a broken guitar string doesn't really qualify as an emergency," she stated, touching Rainbow's broken guitar string.
"It totally does!" Rainbow argued.
Flash shrugged. "Depending on the situation," he muttered with a small glare.
"Really, Rainbow Dash! I was in the middle of sewing a very complex appliqué on my latest frock," Rarity said, still having her tape measure and pin cushion on her.
"And I was just about to tuck everyone in for the night at the shelter. Now we'll have to start stories all over again," Fluttershy continued, patting Angel who was in her arms.
"And Flash and I were in the middle of a milkshake date at the Sugarcube Corner," Galaxy added with a small blush, which made Flash smile sweetly at her.
"Why would you send all of us an emergency text for a guitar string?" Sunset questioned, crossing her arms.
"Well, I was going to pony up and show our fans some awesome guitar licks," Rainbow started explaining, pointing to Sweetiebelle, Applebloom, and Scootaloo on the steps, who waved back to the group. "But I kinda need all six strings to do it. Got any extra?"
Everyone groaned in response, clearly annoyed by the request. Sunset dug through her bag and pulled out a guitar string, handing it to Rainbow. "Here. But everyone finished practising for the day. I'm pretty sure all the music rooms are locked," Sunset pointed out.
"No problem," Rainbow brushed off as she put the string on. "The acoustics in the hallway are perfect for power chords," she said, playing a cord. "C'mon! Let's go!"
Sunset shook her head, amused while most of the group made their way inside, but Applejack and Galaxy stopped when they realized that Sunset and Flash weren't following them. "You comin', guys?" Applejack asked.
"I'll catch up in a bit," Sunset told her.
"Yeah, I wanna ask Sunset something," Flash added.
"Alright, we'll see you inside," Galaxy said, closing the door when he and Applejack walked inside.
Sunset and Flash sat down on the steps. "Oh boy... These past few months have been crazy..." Flash muttered in awe.
"Yeah," Sunset chuckled, pulling out her book so she could write to Twilight. "I hear ya. But it has been great,"
She starts writing in her journal and Flash watches by looking over her shoulder. 'Dear Princess Twilight, how's life treating you in Equestria? Any cool new magic spells? It's been pretty quiet here at CHS since the Battle of the Bands. Galaxy is adjusting quite well, like I've already told you. I'm positive that she'll be happy to say that. We still pony up when we play music, which Rainbow Dash just loves to show off. But I still can't quite grasp what it's all about. I would love to hear what you think about it when you get a sec.
