going to be a short fic-sorta like a broken up oneshot
imma try to stay as cannonical as possible
Ill update Wednesdays until the fic is finished unless I am on hiatus
characters arent mine...
I thought today was Thursday and not Wednesday for some reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There is an explanation of any unusual words at the bottom of the chapter
I only managed to get a few feet from the shack before I hear shouting in the near distance, I turn towards it and see the barn on fire not again I think to myself, Ivy stops beside me and we start running towards it.
Well I found Rocky. I think bitterly, already feeling the heat from the flames that are engulfing the structure.
All of a sudden Ivy grabs me and we dodge to the side as a car skids to a stop right where we were standing, a cackling Rocky in the driver's seat with a Molotov cocktail in his hand.
"Your chariot to freedom has arrived, climban in and we shall partake in evanescence" Rocky's eyes are scarily wide at this point.
I wrench open the heavily dented door and clamber in, holding out a hand to Ivy to pull her in faster. Almost instantaneously Rocky sped off, sending us tumbling backwards, Ivy landing on top of me.
We sort ourselves out and I scramble to find a gun, preferably a tommy but anything will work at this point.
I find a pea shooter. I suppose I said anything.
"Don't worry cousin" Rocky says, tipping his head back to me, his twisted smile somehow cracking farther across his face "I have it covered"
climban is old english climb
evanescence means to dissapear quickly (its also a band) -when Rocky says "we shall partake in evanescence" he really just means 'lets get tf out of here'
clamber is like climb but more hurried and panicked
A tommy gun was a popular style of gun for gangsters in the 1920s (Its the one Freckle is most depected with) -shown in image below-
