*4 months later* [reader]'s POV

It had been a while since the mansion horror, Chris took the loss better than last time though I did feel sorry for him. Since then, all of BSAA had been simultaneously working on looking for Arias and his whereabouts. The BSAA had a nice dormitory. All the soldiers who did not have homes nearby or were doing full-time jobs stayed here. Sometimes even rescued people or witnesses of cases have stayed but those are rare cases. The dorms weren't near the main building. They had it in a town nearby so it was better for the residents because the main building where all the work happens was in a dark place behind the town in a forest, which would be a scary place to live in. You were currently sitting at your work table that was adjacent to your bed, looking at your laptop with eye patches on. You weren't working, you were just looking over the information you had found about Arias. There wasn't anything about him, just all the attacks that had happened because of him.

You yawned and got off your chair to stretch your back, the time was only 8:37 PM. Chris was in Chicago, he went to the Alexander Institute of Biotechnology to meet an old friend, Rebecca Chambers. You had never met Rebecca before but you heard a few things about her from times when Chris talked about the S.T.A.R.S. Unit. He even told you that Wesker had a Polaroid of Rebecca in his office in RPD. You were interrupted by a knock on the door, you opened the door and the receptionist was standing in front of you with an annoyed face. "Captain Redfield has been trying to reach your private contact AND your emergency contact." The woman was a nice lady but she always got annoyed when Chris would make her run errands throughout the building for work. "I don't get paid enough for this shit!" she said as she walked away, you giggled.
You closed the door and rushed to your stable, your 'work' phone which was given to you by the BSAA was kept in your drawer. You grabbed it and saw "Captain Redfield. (3) Missed Calls." You called him back. He didn't take long to pick up. "Hey kid, I've been trying to reach you. Are you okay?" he asked. "All good, what's up?" Chris sighed and went on rambling about what happened at the University. "WHAT? Are you fucking kidding me? EVERYBODY TURNED?" Chris was surprised your voice could even go that loud, you had thin walls your neighbors probably heard it. You were a very quiet person but when you got close to people they would be surprised at how crazy and talkative you are. Chris was one of those people, and so was Leon but he left you. "I'm sending out a chopper in 2 hours, pack your gear and extra shit and come over. I need you." Chris and I had a small conversation and we said our byes so I could prepare myself for the mission. Chris said I didn't need to show up in my gear because they were crashing a hotel tonight. Nadia, DC, and Damian were coming along too since we were the Alpha Squad.

*time skip*

You were currently with Chris in front of Professor Chamber's door, he tagged you along to introduce you to her and write down any important information. You had a small pocket-sized diary, you've had it for 4 months now. You had the diary so you could write any important things about Arias so you didn't have to pull up with a laptop everywhere you go but since there hadn't been much information on Arias only an estimated 8 pages were filled and 3 of them being about his wedding and how it got bombed. You felt pity for him.

"It's me and [reader]," Chris said to let Rebecca know who was at the door. Rebecca opened the door. You had a little shock on your face because to your knowledge she is supposed to be 32, how is she so cute? You stepped inside with Chris. "This doesn't look like you are resting," Chris told Rebecca. "A hot bath does wonders," she said as she sat down on a chair, Chris did the same but on the bed which looked very cozy and you were very sleepy. The two looked at you awkwardly as you just stood there with your hands in your pockets. You showed up wearing a loose t-shirt and sweatpants, your usual style. "Have a seat." Rebecca pointed beside Chris with a smile on her face. How can someone be so angelic? Rebecca knew about your social anxiety and that you were still young.
